    Do you know, by chance, if that exhaust doesn't meet any state inspection laws (NC to be specific) due to the exhaust dumping before the rear axle? I've tried doing some basic research but can't find an answer.

    I don't see why it would cause any problems. The exhaust is still there for emissions and sound laws.

    In Texas it is legal because it doesn't dump under the passenger compartment. It dumps near the front of the bed. Before the axle.
