    How do you like the electronic 4x4 shifting(with the button) as opposed to the old gen one manual stick method? Anyone? Nice truck btw, still prefer gen one styling tho, but at 180k mi it's time. I'm gonna hate to retire my 2004 one day.

    the rims are an "aluminum rim upgrade" that was included with the truck, that's all I know about them. they are growing on me but I think what's stopping me from liking them are the little tires since I have had mud tires on my 1st gen for 8 years I am use to seeing something a little more aggressive. This is my first 4x4 so I can't compare it to the 1st gens

    Those rims are known as "Gulf States Toyota Rims". They are put on at the gulf states port. About half the tacomas around here have them.
