I sold my Tacoma and I feel like I'll miss this place because I don't plan on owning a truck anymore. I don't have truck needs or truck wants, but I always thought the prettiest truck to own would be the Tacoma I had. I plan on getting a Lexus and I feel like I betrayed this community and I think I will miss participating in it. <3[IMG]

You know, I think she's right........ Naw man, If I decided I'd rather have a Saab or Volvo than a Taco, I'd probably sell my Taco & join a Saab or Volvo site, Just can't imagine that happening. Good luck to ya anyway

Yeah I understand, it just doesn't fit my needs and I have other desires sadly, but definitely would get another one if I have the opportunity in the future.

Can't imagine. Must not be a home owner.

There are work arounds to being a homeowner and not having a truck. I don't have a truck anymore and it hasn't been a real issue yet. My Audi actually tows more and has a higher payload than the old Tacoma, is way more fun to drive around and gets much better gas mileage. Its a little more difficult when you want to carry dirty stuff, a load of dirt or a dead animal but those happen a lot less often than driving to work everyday.

I can’t imagine not having a truck maybe because I’ve been a truck owner since 1983.Chevy, Ford’s, Dodge, Nissan and finally settled on Toyotas. What you do for a living, where you live, your hobbies all play into the need for having this tool. I can’t imagine being without it

I'm currently a student but I live in Alabama. We own a 2015 Wrangler that's got everything we need to go off-roading. I just don't need a truck, and if I did I could always use our 2500HD Denali. I enjoy a better driving experience with luxury, so that's kind of why I wanted a Lexus haha.

I can’t imagine only having 1 vehicle. Hell, I couldn’t even thin my collection down to just 5.

That’s kinda where I’m at and at this stage in life we had 3 Tacoma’s, two Priuses, and a Lexus 400h and five antique air cooled VWs.

The new Lexus IS looks nice. I think I would rather have a truck though. Can't really enjoy/use a performance oriented car with out potentially getting into trouble.

I'm surprised I never got in trouble with my truck- to be honest, I probably treated it more like a sports car than I should have lmfao.

That’s half the reason I got a truck. I had a bunch of modified VWs before I got a Ranger in 2003 and have had pickups ever since then. My driving abstract from before 2003 and after 2003 is very different. Police also ignore pickup cruising at 10mph over while some low and loud car doing 5 over is getting searched.

Trade the Taco in for a GX460. A Tacoma SUV built in Japan with a V8, leather and cooled seats. Other than the same crap fuel economy, its perfect if you don’t need a pickup.

my .02... No need to apologize, you participated in the forum and enjoyed your time here, enjoy the positive experience for what it was. If you no longer need/want a truck, that's your decision. Enjoy your new ride!

I've considered a Gx460 or an older LX, but I just don't wanna have poor gas mileage haha.
