Restomod is just so cool, because it’s an older car yet can be daily driver.
that c4 engine looks beautiful under the hood.

Exactly. The 327 was pretty awesome but he had 2 Carter AFB carbs on there and getting them synced was always a big pain and with modern gas it always had to have octane boost to run well because it had the compression ratio of a motor from 1962. He had also changed the rear end to a 410 (I think) and that made the overall car really jumpy. Scary quick off the line but not really fun to drive any distance so he had the rear end changed back to stock. He’s getting older and he just wanted to enjoy driving it.

Here’s another pic of my 16 year old son dreaming behind the wheel (no I didn’t let him drive it :) )

    Awesome!

Yeah the Tacoma is just a daily run around do everything beater, definitely not a dream vehicle.

Used to have a couple early 70s Chevelles, but after getting my license suspended for drag racing, have to stay aways from fast cars. It is a very good thing these Tacomas are slow… lol!

Or F250 Tremor, can order it with a winch from the factory. Can get the Pro Power option too iirc.

Maybe your brother will leave the car to your son someday? :D

There's a guy named Jeff Hayes that does resto mod corvette builds in the US. Very high end C2 era corvettes that sell for a chunk a Barrett Jackson auctions.

I dig the new C8 mid engine Vette, sure, but there is something about the C7, especially the Z06, that speaks to me in a way that the C8 does not. Plus, you can get a C7 with a manual trans, so there's that.

Sweet ride, I'd hold onto that baby for sure.

Always liked the 1968 XP-880 — the Astro II concept, too bad it never went into production.

    :D

I figured we haven't touched on old school anime or diecast models yet, so we are not quite done here. Carry on, all.
