SOLD [NorCal - Bay Area] 2017 Overland build DCLB TRD OR 4x4, King suspension, $39k

Hey folks! I am selling my truck "complete", as built. I'm moving out of the country and have to sell it in the next 7 days or it will go to consignment. This build has been refined over two years of trips to the Sierras from the Bay Area. The truck has only been used for weekend trips - never a daily driver. I'm based in SF and am happy to show it to serious potential buyers

It has ~34k miles on it, just had its 30k service. I am the first and only owner. It has the 75,000 mile warranty option.

Full build details here. I am asking $39k. You can see the logic on the spreadsheet, setting vehicle accessories at 60% of RRP, overland accessories at 50% of RRP.

NOTE: this truck has been exclusively used for overland - I used it as a base camp for my dirt bike adventures. It has associated wear and tear! All of the wear and tear is listed. It is absolutely not a flawless Starbucks crawler. This truck only makes sense if your primary mission is to go deep into the backcountry.



Here's a bunch of photos of the current condition of the truck. There's a few minor things wrong with the truck that are shown in the photos:

• driver-side fog light mounting point (on the fog light housing) snapped. Light still functions, and bracket is still mounted.
• passenger-side headlight bracket (I think?) top mounting point is snapped (shown final photo) - this means that the side panel and headlight assembly are not as snug, other than that is unnoticeable.
• front wheel arch protectors are off the truck at the moment. I have both the stock ones, was replacing the connecting plugs but didn't finish the job
• lots of trail love / scratches down both sides
• rear passenger side adjuster clicker for the King shock does not step - it still adjusts, but doesn't click. I only adjust the front ones anyway, so to me this is not important - may be to you.
• I removed the sway bar to increase front suspension articulation - I still have the part and am including it with the truck

Both the foglight and headlight housing are standard wear and tear that Toyota (Sunnyvale) refused to replace because of the custom bumper. This just happened at the 30k service. Both could either be replaced or repaired.

 

You mentioned you are moving out of country...

If you are moving to Canada... by chance... I would have interest in buying it complete.

Ah Damn! It could be arranged for sure. My hope was your were moving up this way, and could transfer it in with you as owner. Buying across the line comes with a bunch of duties and extras...
Otherwise that's a hell of a deal on a beautiful truck! You did a really nice job putting that all together.

Hmm...definitely tempting. I am in Foster City. I've been looking to get back into a 2017 for the past few months as I sold mine last year and regretted it.

Yours is like the necromancer version of mine but with more tasteful mods lol

I'm sure you won't have a problem selling as a whole. I will be watching this thread closely....I am really aiming for a DCSB. Don't miss the wheelbase of the DCLB.

In Salt Lake, I'm seeking a TRD OR DCLB 3rd gen. I'm a newbie having just stumbled upon this forum. Wasn't figuring to buy overland package but could swing it. Not sure how exactly to buy this in another state with all the Covid complications. Let's discuss.

 

You'll love this truck. The OR Trail Limos are badass.

If I had been accepted at the job I interviewed for today, I would literally be considering buying this truck. As it is.... I can't justify it lol
