For sale are breakout harnesses that are designed to provide a clean solution for illuminating aftermarket switches in a couple different locations in your truck. These harnesses can be used to tap the dash illumination circuit from the factory Auto High-Beam (left side of dash on 2018+) or the ECT PWR (under head unit on A/T) switch without T-Taps, barrel splice, Posi Taps, etc.

To use just unplug your factory switch, plug the female end of the harness into the back of the factory switch, and then plug the male end into the factory switch’s connector. You then run the breakout wires to the (+) and (-) of your new switches. Doing it this way allows your aftermarket switches to dim with the factory dimmer.

Because some people have asked about different lighting scenarios: These harnesses are pretty versatile. If you have an auto trans, don’t have an Auto High-Beam switch, and want to illuminate switches on the left side of your steering wheel: you can easily extend the wires from under the head unit to the left side. This would also be the case if you have an M/T, have an Auto High-Beam switch, and want to light stuff under the head unit, etc. You could even run the leads up the A-Pillar if you truly want.

Each harness is $25 TYD in the lower 48. I have quite a few available.

I wouldn’t recommend tapping the dash illumination circuit for that purpose. It’s a cool idea as the variable ground would allow you to dim your kick panel lights with the factory dimmer, in theory, but depending on the draw of those strips you’re putting in it could overload the circuit. Don’t let me tell you what to do, though

I have 7 in the lower left area, and an additional 5 in the overhead (same circuit). The switches draw very little amperage, so you should be good.

EDIT: I should mention that I have mine tapped from the AUTO switch as well, so exactly the same place

People that ordered harnesses over the holiday — they have been made, tested, and packaged. You will receive tracking tomorrow. Thanks again!

For now I will not be taking new orders as I am completely sold out.

Connectors for the ECT button specifically. I want to build an extension for the ECT button.
