Got my kit installed a couple of weeks ago along with the Wheelers Single AAL:

Pretty happy with the results. I wanted a mild lift (Almost 1.75" up front and 1.5" in the back) to accompany a larger tire and I believe this will compliment my 17" SCS SR8's in Gunmetal with 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's once I get them put on.

    Edit (Post-Lift Side Profile):

How's the real feel with the AAL?

I had read a lot of negative reviews about the single AAL prior to purchasing so I was prepared for a harsh ride, but really I can't tell much of a difference from the stock setup feel wise. It's firm, but I prefer it that way. My truck is 5 years old so I'm guessing the stock pack is probably benefiting from the additional support if anything.

Any special parts/mods needed to install this kit on a 2008 Tacoma? Or is it pretty much the same install as on a 2015?

No failures or performance issues. Still prefer the softer feel of the stock OR suspension, but I do like the aesthetics of the small lift achieved.

I’d say a very long time... but I’ve often wondered what would happen if you blow one since they’re not made anymore... seems a shame your only option is aftermarket... I’m guessing a 6112 would be the closest replacement.

I think they can still get the replacement parts, but they are not building or selling them as kits anymore.

No issues, but I also think I prefer the original OR ride. I do like that there is much less brake dive though.

    Agreed.

For the money invested, I wouldn't say I regret moving to this kit. But I certainly see Kings/Fox or the like in the Progressive/Linear realm of things when this Bilstein Pro kit has seen its duty cycle.

Still haven't got mine on, waitin to buy UCA's. Just what kind of longevity should I expect from this setup?

I have close to a year and 20 000 km on mine. Great so far.

I recently got much stiffer tires and coupled with the digressive valving it is VERY firm on road now. Like race car flat in the turns.

The digressive really shone when I was bombing logging roads with aired down C load tires. Like floating on a pillow.

Next time I will be going with progressives though.

The loss of the "Dobbie-horse" effect with a little weight in the bed was worth the price of admission for me, that and much better control of bump-steer on the roughs at speed.

Even with the AAL's (3) and Sumo Springs, my ride has greatly improved in my '17 4X4 TRD Sport.

Longevity will likely vary dependent upon usage. But being these are OEM materials, I would anticipate a 50k-75k mile life span. That is purely my opinion though. I generally look to replace shocks/struts etc. on all my vehicles every 50k miles unless warranted sooner.

I know I'm not dave, but I've beat on mine pretty hard including jumping them. Still holding up well. Only result of the pounding they've received is a slight front end dip when hard braking. Regular braking is still fine.
