    Epic thread revival.

Has anyone ever looked into replacing the springs on these coilovers?

No though I was looking for replacements if I ever need too and Bilstein makes what looks like the same thing still. Might have to ask and make sure I can replace springs. I though I saw them on a Toyota dealer site.

Has anyone had this kit rebuilt? Mine is riding like garbage after only a couple years and maybe 25k miles. Kinda disappointed…

    This kit was a disappointment.

I switched it out to Dobinsons.

I too was disappointed with how it rode until I took the swaybar off, then I fell in love.

Guess I’m in the the minority. ~60k miles on mine so far. Zero regerts or complaints, especially considering the cost of entry.

Overall mine are still performing without issue. Gonna be adding a winch and bumper soon so I’m anticipating some sag. Contemplating whether it’ll be worth looking at heavier load springs, assuming it’s a possible with these pseudo 6112s, or if its time to upgrade the setup itself.

Loved mine. Wanted it to handle much better. Feel the road. Have like 50 k.

I wasn't too impressed with mine. I went to 4600's after this and generally prefer it now. I only put about 40k on mine before replacing them.

My set is still brand new in the box. Waiting for my original set-up to wear out. But it is nice to hear feedback about what people think after living with the kit.

Are the 4600 any different than the stock shocks on the Offroads?

These pseudo 6112 up front were a bit too firm for my taste at first. After some breakin miles they loosened up a bit. That and I probably just got used to them.

@ACEkraut Check the boxes. If I remember correctly, the rears actually had 5160 stickers on the box. Nothing on the front to state they were non-adjustable 6112, other than visually looking near identical.

Ride preferences are one thing, but for anyone that was even remotely considering buying a 6112/5160 setup, the value that this old pro kit delivered was unmatched.

4600's are slightly firmer feeling than OEM OR setups, IMO. Nosedive and roll is greatly reduced without giving you the overly firm feeling this Toyota kit did.

Think firmer, but still on the plush side and you would have my impression of the 4600's.

I went 4600's since I went back to no lift.

I agree even though it didn't suit my tastes. For like $625 I got an amazing deal.

I will have to go back and look, but i am well over 100k on mine, i believe. No issues. Have a somewhat heavy bumper and winch, only sagged a half inch or so. Springs are heavier rate then stock.
