Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

If you get top spacers you have to space your bump stop as well

Not for 1/4" spacers. Otherwise every tacoma adjusting for lean would have blown out their driver-side shock.

Just because it has not failed, does not mean it does not present a problem.

The stock bits, PRO, Baja and 5100's all use preload to adjust for lean not a top spacer.

I have 5100s and use no preload to adjust for lean. I have a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side, truck is fine. Stock bump stops do not have enough compliance in them to allow the shock to reach max compression. If you are stuffing the suspension that much to use all your bump travel through the bump stops, you have bigger problems than 1/4 of an inch. I don't think anyone here is jumping their truck. That being said, it is always a good idea to fully cycle the suspension to ensure that suspension travel stays within the limits of the shock shaft length all the way to the bumps. Make adjustments to straps and bumps as needed.

Oh there will be some mods all right
It's actually funny you mention jumping. I was just at work wondering if anyone has jumped with their new suspension yet. I jumped the same day I got it installed :D

I'd be more worried about coil bucket reinforcement at that point. The un-gusseted coil buckets on our trucks are known for bending and/or cracking. This suspension system isn't anywhere near optimized for jumping-type performance. It is still a stock setup afterall.

Definitely, that's why I'm making myself keep it from becoming a regular thing, as fun as it is.

Friday is the day for me. Should be 60 degrees and sunny, so I took the day off. Can’t wait! I picked up some 6 ton floor jacks in preparation. I’m thinking it’ll look like a massive change considering my shocks are 8 years old. I’ll run the 265/75R16 tires this summer but ’m planning to go up to 255/85R16 tires before winter - should look better after that.

It's an upgrade on my 2013 so I'm sure you're going to notice realize it a bunch more. I needed the rear end capability increase for towing and this kit was right in the gift horse's mouth as the right option to pair it with. Even though I haven't gotten a decent alignment yet the performance and capability upgrade is substantial enough to provide me peace of mind as to it being a solid investment.

That would be a choice, it does not make it accurate. It would be best to not risk it, even if the risk is low.

1/4" likely would not cause a problem, but that does not mean it is is the better of the 2 options. I myself have run a 1/4 top spacer for side specific lean in the past, and I had no issues.

The Pro and Baja suspension lacks the extra groove's for adjustable lift like a 5100 or aftermarket 6112 has. The only grooves on them are for side specific preload during installation. My passenger side is one clip lower than the drivers side.

6 to one half dozen to another, probably never cause an issue.. but it could.

As for jumping I have bent or broken a number of frames and bump stop's. I have slso bent axles, seats, control arm, wheels, oil pann broken a trans, had the diff smash my slave cylinder off.

I once bent the entire front clip, broke the radiator and a/c condensor and bent the hood. But that was not a Toyota.

Also, I do not jump my current Tacoma's because I have broken so much shit in the past, they have air bagsn and otherwise just cost too much money.

Yes, I have one of these kits. At 1/4" the risk is extremely low, but it is indeed a choice just like choosing whether to do something with the truck that would cause damage. Definitely depends on the users application.

Personally when I install this kit, I plan on using 1/2 top plate spacers for a little extra droop and lift for my application and 33s. Not sure whether I'll replace the bumps, but if I do I'll go hydro and adjust for whatever my suspension cycles too.

Really like these shocks, great oil capacity at a killer price.

    I love them.

I highly doubt it would cause a problem, but people read it and then they point fingers.. well you read it on the interwebs.

You know top spacers for a little droop may be a great idea.. I do not have much droop, since I have added preload. Not that I do much high speed to really need it.

Think i am going to try one of URD's "fixed" tob designs and see if it holds up longer. Just can't decide if i want to pull the trigger on full hydro setup.

I put the sleeved URD in my 2015 at 6k.

No issues so far. I do wonder if the full hydro deal is better.

A spacer works for positioning coilover lower (IE range of articulation) which can work nicely for lifted applications and maintaining the shock's droop. Obviously up-travel is lost, but depending on tire size, you may not want to stuff the tire up that far anyways.

Anyone else getting some metallic chatter or clank going of minor bumps? Can't pinpoint it yet. Know there was discussion of sway bar noise earlier on. Got to also rule out my new leaf springs out back.
