I have a Hobart handler 140 and it does 3/8" just fine. I had to have my fab guy set it up

Back when Desert Toy Fab built his first bumper he used flux core and that thing made it through totaling 2 vehicles and then a border patrol vehicle hitting me lol

I just skimmed through your whole thread. super stoked on this build man! It's so cool! my wife and I are planning to be selling all our things and living on the road for a year or more starting this coming september, and I'm almost considering building a trailer for it... hard to decide what to do! This has made me want to, just for the comfort! It looks so awesome!!

As I said, I skimmed, so I may have missed something, and you probably already know, but charging phones off an inverter is not very efficient. All batteries run in DC, so you would be converting from DC to AC to DC again. If you just got something like this https://www.amazon.ca/XCSOURCE-Char...1486707611&sr=8-4&keywords=12+volt+usb+outlet it would save electricity, and give you more versatility.

Obviously having an inverter is super handy regardless, so i'm not suggesting you get rid of it!

Have you thought about mounting propane up front too?

    You got it man!

Yeah my dad has that one. Works well! Haha that's awesome about DTF. They're legit

Thats right man. Time and patience! Practice only makes you better!

Thanks so much dude. Means a lot. That's pretty cool that you and your wife are planning on doing that! As you can see everything I've done isn't too hard so you'd have a relatively easy time building the trailer and it is a lot more cost effective than buying one already built.

That makes total sense as far as the electricity goes. I didn't know that so thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty retarded when it comes to wiring and crap like that. Hope my trailer doesn't burn down lol. Luckily I have a couple USB spots on the solar charger controller and I mainly have the inverter for my fridge. And yes I will be mounting a 20lb propane tank next to the battery on the tongue which will also help offset the weight of the battery. Need to balance the weigh right so I don't have Taco lean and trailer lean lol

Nice! Glad to hear the fab is going well. I need me some extra cash to get this rig going in the right direction. Got a lot to do.

Yeah man, thank you! Well with how much you're working, you'll have some extra cash to use soon hahaha. Just got done bending 4 outer tubes for a couple sets of sliders I'm gonna try to knock out tomorrow. Also finished up a set of sliders and a bedrack today

When I had a tacoma I really wanted a bed rack. GF said that bed racks are ugly and not to get one. I wanted more room so I wanted to get rid of the tonneau. Turns out she didn't know what I meant by bed rack haha. We both like bed racks a lot more. The dry storage of the shell was great, But you could just get dry storage bags.

Yeah that isn't cheap. Priorities man. I was lucky, my wife didn't want me to buy her an expensive ring. She loves her ring. She said she didn't want to start our life out in debt and wanted a less expensive ring when I was gonna get her one. When you planning on proposing???

Thanks bro!! Yea man! The Prinsu is great and the dry storage is great. If I found a long bed cap on CL for cheap enough I might consider it but I use my truck like a truck too much where the cap would get in the way a lot.

That's one of the biggest things about the cap is the security! That would be my number 1 reason for getting one

Yeah that's true. But I also wouldn't want my roof top tent up that high if I decided to use my RTT.
