Did you install something else or just didn't feel you needed it?

I went with a complete Tundra booster and master cyl conversion. So this SOS kit was not needed anymore. This kit adapts the Tundra master to the Tacoma booster.

Yup and that black disc is the adapter for Tundra master to tacoma booster.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I'm not actually sure there is benefit to a bigger master without a bigger booster. Willing to bet you agree since you upgraded. Even with larger front calipers and rear discs, my gut is that you would end up with a very stiff pedal and not much braking power. I have the full tundra setup as well, and love the way it works - even with larger 5g4r front brakes and modified (larger) rear wheel cylinders. I think that if you source a tundra booster and extension rod (which I'm sure you know how to do since you have it), then sell this setup as a full brake upgrade. You would probably be money ahead. Then the aluminum adapter can become some wall art. Good luck

I bought this kit before learning about the Tundra booster upgrade. So I went and bought a used Tundra booster on ebay.

I then read about how the booster upgrade requires the factory master cylinder as some of the aftermarket ones have caused issues.

So I jumped on a Toyota sale and bought a genuine Toyota Tundra master cylinder to pair with my used ebay booster.

Thus... this SOS kit has been replaced before I even installed it. Now it's FS.

The front crown Performance brake line is unused because I required a different length due to BBK. I am using the lines for the rear.

    Complete transparency....

Any challenges to this mod? Do I need a pipe bender as is implied by the SOS kit instructions? Note that I am looking to get more firm brakes and may or may not also do the rear disc conversion.

Do you already have the SOS kit?

No not yet. Not sure I need the rear disc conversion for my truck but I hate the long brake pedal.

I don't have the paperwork with me, but SOS includes an outline of the final shape of the hard lines. Personally, I wouldn't bend them by hand. I would look into the tool loaner programs at your local OReillys or Autozone, etc and borrow a brake line bending tool.

This is an option to achieve firmer brakes if you don't want to go the upgraded booster or BBK route.

Let me know if you are interested. All parts are new and I'm taking best realistic offers.

I think the 2009 might have a different part from what I see on SOS site. So probably not an option to use yours.
