This was installed for 4 days, 300 miles. Black tip is in perfect shape and wrapped in bubble wrap for a no-damage install.

Only selling because I want to get the chrome tip version instead. It sounds good.

 

Curious, you can’t disconnect the black to and buy the chrome?

 

Unfortunately not, the tips are welded on which is nice if your mind is made up on what you want, but obviously brings with it the con of not being able to be changed.

You got something wrong, because it does not sell for less than $800 for the kit I got. The chrome tip version does sell for slightly less. The MSRP on mine is $980. Many sell for less than that but rarely less than $800 unless on a holiday sale. Even if they do, the tax and/or shipping easily bring it back up to $900+.

 

You can get a chrome tip and have it welded on, then sell the black one....I wouldn't mind having the tip myself!

 

It's available online from a popular dealer for $804 brand new (chrome tip in the $720 range)--I didn't put the links in here out of respect for your post. I'm just saying, if you really want to move this item, usually would see a bigger difference (vs. full retail price). That's the norm on this TW forum.

Having said that, this would be a nice deal for somebody local to get an almost-new system for a little off full retail price. Again, GLWS.

 

I know where you found that price. You’re not factoring in shipping or potential tax though. $804 is lovely but that is nowhere near the out the door price.

Trust me, this price can not be beat for a local pickup. If nobody wants to pay it, so be it and I’ll adjust accordingly, but if someone wants the exhaust, this is the cheapest they’ll find it unless they find another used one and the same area as me. I didn’t find them used at all for months, so mine is listed where it is and it’s a better deal than I paid for it, which was the best deal I ever saw in 6 months. Not to mention ordering it at the dealer is like a week long wait.

 

Here's my unsolicited suggestion to save you some headache; offer a black tip for chrome tip trade, at the expense of chrome tip owner paying the shop fee for cutting/welding the tips. This would very likely be the most cost-effective solution for both parties; otherwise GLWS, free bump.
