This is sort of a prototype of a custom bracket I’ve been working on for my Midland MXT575. As such, it is a little rough around the edges but it will work just fine for its intended purpose. Mounts beneath the drivers seat. Front mounts to factory holes in the seat frame and rear hooks over the seat spring. Will not fit the passenger seat. Max height of the item being mounted is 2.25”. Floor measures 7.75” x 7.75”. $35 shipped.

This the bracket that is based off of OEM Audio Plus's version?

Are there plans for mass production?

Yes and yes. My current bracket fit the Midland radio perfectly and is being powder coated. Mainly just not sure the demand is there for mass production of a Midland radio specific bracket. I would love to offer them though. It’s going to be a super clean looking radio install when finished.

Nice. I think there may a market for them.

It was initially an amp bracket, so this will also appeal to those that want to install a small-ish amp, like a Kicker Key, with a cleaner OEM like finish. Especially if you don't want to clutter the floor and block the AC vents.

I’m trying to decide how I’d offer them. Maybe a Midland Specific model and offer a universal mount with no mounting holes drilled on the bottom. That would allow mounting of anything that would fit the space. A Kicker Key amp would fit but I’m not familiar with common sizes of other types of amps. There’s plenty of room to increase width but I can’t make the mount much deeper without interfering with the adjustment of the seat.

I have a JL XD 2 channel which might fit. So I’d be interested. But probably for my ‘05 or ‘02 Tundra so it might not fly on those seats.

Does this bracket move with the seat or is fixed?

Since it is based of OEM Audio Plus, it should, as it bolts to the braces under the seat.

So you would need a little more slack in your harnesses so that it can move together with the seat.
