Normally when I’ve seen a manufacturer say they have “ceased” production of a model that means it’s out of production

Well, you could be correct. They changed the definition of vaccine didn’t they? This could be yet another example.

Either way, none are rolling off the assembly line at this time. I wonder if Ford will again offer the F150 Hybrid?

Congrats. I'm still debating on the right time to get one. I really wanted a long range LFP, but apparently that's not going to happen anytime soon thanks to IRA. Resale value is also a valid concern still.

BTW, there's too many Scotty Kilmers in here.

My train of thought is the next administration is likely to stop the federal subsidy. I received 7500 from the feds and another 2250 from the state. I don’t believe we should be paying anything to help me, or anyone else, buy a car.

If you are feeling guilty for the rebates you received. I could use some new guns!

I just did a Quick Look locally (San Diego, Ca.) don't find any 2024 F150 Hybrids in stock.

That by itself I can live with, but looking at my house electric bill recently I noticed about $10 a month tacked on. Not sure how long ago it started to be honest, but the two line items that grabbed me were that I'm paying to fund solar panels and EV charging despite not owning or using either.

I only drive my wife's 2018 Tesla Model 3 to back it in and out of the garage for her.
Today I washed an quick waxed it with Chemical Brothers Quick Wax.
That vehicle still looks damn good and stylish!
My daily ride is my still new 2024 4Runner.

I have owned a model 3 for two years.

The build quality issues are noticeable.

However, the experience of driving an EV is so great especially under the Tesla network. Now, I’m considering buying another Tesla to replace my wife’s Sienna.

    pros.

    1) I charge my car at night, and it’s ready to go in the morning.

    2) 267 miles is all I need to get around for almost a 2-3 days. Even when I commuted 80 miles a day, I preferred to drive my Tesla.

    3) the buying experience is 10 times better than the dealership model. I bought my Tesla 3 online, and at the listed price. I wasn’t haggled by a sales rep or even worse a finance officer.

    4) fast. Better torque feeling than any car I have driven in my life.

    5) Tesla super chargers make the long distance experience enjoyable. I have made 4 300+ trips with no issues. 20-30 minute charges are completely painless.

    6) self driving. It’s way better than you think, and as a once super commuter, I just turn that thing on a relax. I only used it for two months through.

    7) app based controls. My car is at the perfect temperature every time I jump in it.

    8) absolute perfect dashboard. I thought I would hate the lack of buttons and knobs, but I don’t mind it all now.

    cons

    1) insane depreciation. I have lost more than 60% of the original cost at 39k miles. On the upside, I think a used Tesla is the bargain of the century.

    2) third party chargers. They never work, they force you to download apps, and I have never seen a level 3 third party charger.

    3) cheap interior

    4) bad build quality. The car is just built sloppily. However, I don’t see it not working. I have already broke switch’s in my seat already. And I have multiple services for minor issues like loose bolts and things rolling around in the chassis.

Overall, I prefer EVs. With Toyota quality clearly going towards a downward trend, I think I would rather drive Teslas.

I considered buying the BZ4x before I got a Tesla, but it’s clearly trash. I would love to buy a GX550, Land Cruiser or Grand Highlander. However, they are just way too expensive. With 4 kids, I can’t buy pickup trucks anymore.

I’ll keep my GX460 for outdoors, and I’ll continue to upgrade that because I want to hold on to my v8. However, unless I’m buying a LC200, LX570 or even a LC80, I don’t see myself buying another gas car ever again.

My wife drives a 2018 Tesla Model 3. Absolutely flawless. Yes, the resale value has dipped. She will be still driving her vehicle until 2028. Cheap interior, not an observation of mine. Simple dash? Everything is already set up, who needs knobs. I still haven't figured out all the dials and buttons on my 2024 4Runner. Don't use Self Driving-the thought scares the hell out of me!
