Seller has contacted me so will see if this gets worked out, will keep people posted but for now gonna refrain from posting more to seller gets back to me with a conclusion.

 

When a seller deletes his ad, including description and pics, it can be a scam. It is a common technique to thwart buyer disputes on PayPal. If you have nothing to hide, why delete?

Sometimes eBay is safer to use, because the ads cannot be deleted.

Get off my case, dude. I did that as a courtesy because I know how frustrating it can be to find something you want in the classifieds only to browse through posts and posts and message the seller to find out it's gone. I think this is good practice and I'll keep doing this. I'm sure some folks can appreciate that and since you're the thread police anyone wanting to find the OP can always ask you... Seems like you know quite a bit about thwarting buyer disputes on Paypal, I've never had one... FYI, PayPal wasn't involved in this transaction, I brought him the lights and he paid cash so your point is moot. My turn to make an assumption about you : You write parking tickets for a living.

@Doc.SS Look man, I get you're butt hurt about missing out on a deal. I've been in your shoes a few times and never have I turned around and publicly called the seller untrustworthy and shady. Most people posting in the classifieds here just want to sell their stuff and quick. First come first serve. You have to understand that other folks were sending me private messages about that thing also and whoever ponies up first gets it. That's what happened. I'm not missing out on a sure sale for somebody who seems not committed. This I will also not change. I suggest you keep remarks like that to yourself in the future.

@Ironcross6921 I don't know you personally and you don't seem to be very active on this forum either so all I have to judge your character is how you've dealt with this. Instead of giving me at least one day to respond on a holiday weekend where I was out of town and out of reach (which you knew, I told you so and it's the reason I was able to deliver the lights to you in the first place) you drag me through the mud and crap in my other for sale threads trying to ruin my chances of selling those items. You claim that I engage in scamming tactics such as handing over one good light first and the shitty one after hoping it would go unnoticed... not cool... As stated before I bought these and I checked them out and they were fine (not sure about the little screws, but those are no big deal anyway). Broken tabs would have been pretty obvious I would think. You checked them out also, didn't notice damage and it's it's not like I rushed you at all. Then four days later they are broken all of a sudden?? And you make a scene calling me a ripoff and a scammer (things that also require intent btw!)??
I don't have the pics anymore. Guess I never backed them up and I delete shit I don't need from my phone to save space. But I'm sure you little buddy Tomwill saved them on his computer... It just comes down to that I trust myself more than you.

Heres where I call bullshit, I texted you then replied to your ad asking you to get in contact with me (remember TW notifies you when some one does that) THEN later that evening you update your Spring ad (which another member brought to my attention) which means even if you "didn't get the text yet" you would have known something was up due to the notification from TW. Then you tell me you will "check the pics you posted and get back to me monday night" but then claim you had a late night/early morning but "you didn't forget about me" but meanwhile your updating your ads and logging in to TW. Now I will say it I think you did pull a fast one and your selling and deleting your ads as quick as you can. I HOPE some one has the pics and posts them. A Mod asked me if I wanted him to intervene and I told him I wanted to give you a chance to fix this, I now know your a little chickenshit and never had any intention of giving it another thought. Oh and as for the 4 day deal I can use the same excuse it was the holiday and was spending time with my kids and sunday was the soonest I could install. But really thats when my lazy ass felt like doing it.

 

As for your comment "screws are no big deal" lets ignore the broken tabs for a moment shall we, apparently you have no concept of "like new" or "Perfect condition" as stated in your ad and in the PMs we exchanged

 

Try doing a google search for my screen name, I pop up on quite a few forums with long standing on all of them and this one will be no different.

It's seller remorse. He sold for less than he wanted and then a better offer came along and he stiffed the first buyer. Not too honest in my book.

Yep, that one word would have helped the OP, at least with his reputation. Instead, his description and irretrievable pics are now gone, which the OP cannot use to prove his point of the product being perfect.

I wish these threads were not cleaned up. By giving the OP a clean slate, it gives him the opportunity to scam someone else without any previous warning available.

 

Sounds like the mods have the original from this post and since they locked his account I can only assume its convicting evidence. So far Rockreef has made no effort to correct the situation (he has my cell number and still no contact).
