I also need a little clarification.. with the 2012-2015 I'm pretty sure that the oem camera power is 6v rather than 12v.. how does this harness work if it is drawing a 12v current with no reducer for the camera?

EDIT: after a little research I see that you didn't power the camera directly, you're sending power to the reverse signal which in turn activates the camera. I look forward to ordering one of these when you are available.

I bought one of these for my 15 and it’s awesome for backing into parking spots. I turn the camera on and pull forward and line it all up and then toss it in reverse. I also have a platform that I mount to my hitch that fits a motorcycle (light, under 400lbs) and I can watch it bounce around when I go over bumps.

So is there a way to get GPS without a switch? Just cut the wire and ground it. Or just cut and leave it cut?

So if you just remove the SPD wire the Navi won't work in the sense it won't update with where I am?

You do not ground it. You can cut it and leave it cut, but some have reported it triggering an error if left disconnected continuously. Also, it may need it may need to be reconnected to maintain most accurate position.

Many have connected a simple $2 toggle switch in line with the SPD wire and placed it out of sight under the dash or otherwise.

Does anyone know of a source for a switch that fits under the AC controls (2nd gen) that is dual function? Basically like 2 separate switches that fit in one spot? I only have one blank spot left there and I want to have switches for the nav and camera mods.

Hi...i am a new user here. As per my knowledge the speed sense wire labeled here is incorrect. I believe someone else noted in another post that this is a Tundra HU. The speed sense wire for Tacoma is on that same plug bottom row, third from right.

@ChadsPride this is that harness I was telling you about. It will keep you from cutting oem wires if you want reverse cam anytime

To my knowledge, no one in this thread has noted that the SPD (pin 17) is anything other than the bottom row, third from right.
