Going a different route. Brand new, just wanting to get what I spent on them, 162 + 20 shipping. Usually takes a few weeks to get these from Alpine Designs. No wait for mine and save a couple bucks!
These reuse the stock cab mount hole so no need to drill another hole in your cab.

    162 shipped!

Allows you to run larger tires. Instead of chopping your CMC you cut it off and weld these to the frame. Makes for a way cleaner CMC and able to run as large of tires as you want to tub for.

Yes. Cut the old one off completely at the frame(be sure to support the cab) then weld this on that sits further back.
    Way better than a CMC.

Correct me if I'm wrong? But the cab mount on our trucks is for safety from indirect collisions. thats why it is so substantial.
The CMC still provides the majority of the protection intended while allowing clearance.
These would serve to only hold up the cab.
It would drastically reduce the safety from indirect frontal collisions.
The factory cab mounts are intended to stop the tire from getting pushed back into the driver or passenger.

This also serves the same purpose though, but yes not as much material to stop the tire from coming through but if you’ve ever ground on your stock cab mount box, it’s pretty dang flimsy. Deff thinner and flimsier than this relocation bracket. I see it as a non issue.

Also if you’re that worried about it, probably shouldn’t do a CMC to begin with...

That's a good question. Try reaching out to Alpine and see what they say about their specs compared to stock. Keep the group posted on your findings.

CMC is just shaving some material back, this relocation bracket completely removes it. I agree tho, if you're going down this route, you probably aren't really taking all this into consideration / care.
