    That's what I was thinking is 600 or so over stock you have quite a bit on the truck.

    I'd go stage 3. Here's the deal on stage 2 you'll be starting to get into the overloads which is where it really gets stiff just at your normal weight then you add your completely kitted out weight for a trip and your really into the overloads. Stage 3 you'll be getting into some of the stiffer springs at normal daily use and probably just start getting into the overloads on a full loadout. I had ~1300 lbs between the bed loaded and tongue weight of a trailer on my truck with the deavers I was on the first overload spring pretty solid and over bumps could tell it was engaging the second.

    Food for thought the more constant weight you carry and "sag" the springs on a weaker set up the more it will weaken those springs faster than spring that's properly set up for the given weight.

    Another thing to really consider is to get a shock set up tuned for your constant weight and whatever spring combo you decide to go with. The properly tuned shock will go a long ways in how the springs feel and controlling the spring correctly. It will also help with spring life to a certain extent.

    Using stuff, installing other people's stuff, seeing their load outs and what their set ups do. Well just paying attention you can get a gist of a lot of things.

    so yeah, really glad I dug further into this. I'm actually already at about 950 extra lbs. I just looked up all the weights and called companies that didn't list it. here is my math. For sure going with the stage 3.

    You can subtract the weight of the oe spare wheel and tire as well as the oe bumper and hitch. That'll bring you down an easy 100 lbs give or take. You're still around 800 over stock. But then part of all your skids weight is carried by the rear so that brings you back up. These things aren't as simple as people try to make them. You gotta look at the whole picture

    It does but you subtract the weight of the factory stuff. It only adds extra weight over what the stock stuff weighs. You following?

    Here is how the math looks
    Stock bumper and rear hitch assembly ~85 lbs
    CBI bumper and swingout 175

    175-85=90lbs over stock. So this would be the additional weight over stock that it adds to the truck. You would do the same for the stock spare subtract it's weight from your new one. You took stuff off so subtracted from stock weight then added back. So it's only what is over stock that is creating extra weight.

    Ok so hold on this one, is really going to throw you. Since you are moving your spare to the swing out and that additional weight of the bumper is further from the axle center line it is Cantilevered thus increasing the load on the springs by factor of some geometry. This extra weight cantilevered off the back actually acts as more weight than if it were centered directly above the axle. I bet I really confused you now.

    This is the whole reason I was saying go with the stage 3. The reality is you got a lot of weight wayyyyyyy high and wayyyyyyy out from the axle centerline. Thus the stage 2s would have a hard time controlling or counter acting any sway or weight. It's leverage against the springs where a beefier spring with a stronger static weight can control that a little better.

    These advertising #s that spring companies put out there of how much more they can carry over stock don't really take into account each individual builds needs it takes some understanding of vehicle suspension physics and set ups to really fine tune one in.

    I like them. The ride was pretty rough for a couple of months because I had sold my Leer topper and was waiting for my HC rear bumper
