    So pissed. FINALLY putting the knuckles back together tonight and the hex stock slipped halfway out and cracked the kingpin I was putting in! :(

    Also, I went to install the knuckle studs that came with the Ballistic high steer and one of the nuts is metric (even says it on the damn thing). :facepalm: If I run into this many little BS bumps in the road through the rest of the build, I'll never get the damn thing finished haha

    this made me smile. i have always wanted one of these rc trucks.. but all of my other projects have never afforded me the money to "waste" on one lol, at least since i cant justify it by riding in it :)

    yeah, those are some badass scale wheels and tsl's for sure. The coil spring in the front is what stood out to me, then the seat. and i was like.. waiiiit a minute :)

    i looked at some rc build threads once and some people have some serious skill putting those things together.

    i personaly do not have the fine dexterity in my finger tips for the little bitty stuff, i have always told myself once i outgrow the big toys (get to old and broken to do it) i will start a basement hobby like that.

    For now i have been remodeling my house, restoring a 79, keeping a 81 wheeling, restoring an 85, landscaping my yard, dicking with my 2013, working 60 hours a week, and nursing some crying disks (on salary) and about 900 other projects.

    Going with Trail Readys myself when I save up for 'em :) Racelines are a couple hundred cheaper and just as good, even though they are cast in China and finish machined here. Trail Readys are a fully USA made wheel. I like the fact I can choose what backspacing and wheel width I want (kinda) with Trail Readys.

    The forth one is the same as the others but I tried mounting it anyway to see if it would work. It just makes the bushing bind and the knuckle won't rotate freely.

    On a better note, I picked up a tire today so I can accurately mock up the suspension and make sure everything clears. Could barely fit the damn thing through the door haha
