Don't work too fast, the slower you work the more time I have to build a bumper when I am done :D

It did awesome. I babied it and pussyfooted it though, I had no tools or spare parts if I broke something lol. A buddy of mine on Pirate helped me get it wheel able Thursday the 12th. We finished around 6pm then I drove it straight to the Rubicon for the Marlin Round-Up, hit the trail at 2am, popped a bead and took out a taillight on Cadillac hill going down and that's it! One of the best times of my life. Wheeled it for 3 days around Rubicon Springs and Hell Hole then back up Cadillac.

The rear drivers side coilover is hitting my frameside panhard mount so I need to cut it and cap it off so it doesn't bend the shock

Still need to hook up the ARB compressor and run the air lines and add a few gussets. Other than those things, it's golden.

Alright guys, I've taken the first step of weaning myself off the whole IFS

(Independant Fucking Sucks) I had to cut out both my front CV's on a trail recently & I've decided that I'm NOT going to throw those pussy parts back in... So , even if i gotta stay a prerunner for awhile, i dont care, I just want to go up to a true 4" lift like I've had on most my trucks & the added bonus of a slightly wider front axle , & I'll dick out dimensions & issues later , but my question to you guys is probably obvious but humor me anyway... To those who have SAS'd , isn't it easier to do that than to go from SAS to IFS ??

    (why someone would escapes me)

I would say a solid axle swap is much easier than going back to IFS. Especially if all you want is leaf springs. If you want low lift, check this out. You won't get much lower than this 4runner

Looking for a flat pitman arm. Does anyone sell them without the tapered hole? Or are there inserts so I can use a heim?

Or would it be a bad idea to fill it with weld, re-drill and double shear it?

Yup. I've got a flat Sky pitman with a 3/4 hole for a heim.

Thanks. Seems like everyone and their mother just sells the TG arm. So I'm assuming I need to get a larger heim (other than the 7/8s I already have) for that 3/4" bolt since I have 5/8" misalignment spacers?

Ready to start cutting the truss for the rear. I hope it works haha :anonymous:

My sky arm was drilled and counterbored for a 5/8" diameter bolt. I am running it with a 7/8" heim.

5/8" doesn't seem to be an option. Unless I'm retarded. haha :anonymous:

Or should I go with a larger heim anyway to make up for lack of double shear?

I think I drilled out the taper in mine

Not enough meat in them IMO for a 3/4" fastener and all the rest of my heims are 7/8"...common spares ;)

Good point about spares. So which one should I order and drill out?
