    Yeah I ended up doing the same and built a cart to where the axle would sit at ride height.

    Anyone know what the minimum thickness is for ford rotors? I took mine in to get them resurfaced, he measured them and said with one pass they'd be out of spec and I should get new ones. Either he had the wrong numbers or just didn't feel like resurfacing them and wanted my to buy some new ones from them. :mad: The Dana 60 Bible sayeth Ford rotors shalt be 1.25" new. One measures 1.25" and the other is 1.243". I picked them at the salvage yard specifically because of their condition.

    After a couple passes they will be more like 1.125, so that will not be within spec if min is 1.25

    brand new they are 1.25" discard spec is 1.18" just trurn them your arent stoping 18 thousand pounds your stopping a 1/4 ton truck..

    i would love to do a 60 but i just found a good deal on a 44 waggy with hi steer for $250 figure between that and the Sky SAS kit i could get almost everything i need, with the exception of tires gears and drive shaft

    Nice, wish I got the king pins instead of the balljoint 44's that I have now. O well still got the full set for 400 bucks.

    this VVV mine came out of a 92 F350

    a 78 KP axle is the way to go but they are rare and expensive i picked up my 60 for free.

    I probably woulda taken a free balljoint 60 over my $850 '78 Ford kingpin. :anonymous:

    Only things I kept was the housing, knuckles, and spindles anyway.
