Does anyone have an opinion or personal use with a grizzly locker? The guy I just got my knuckles from is gonna be parting out his dana 44, selling chromoly shafts and other parts, he said he would sell me his grizzly locker for $200. I'm just not very familiar with it's reviews and how it works for on and off road vehicles.

ya but its also huge! Weighs in @ 15.5 lbs. It has a 28 degree deflection with a 1 1/4 inch bolt. 36 or better with a 1 inch bolt. radial yield is well over 500 000 lbs and the axial is good for more than 200 000 lbs.

So basically it'll lift a tank by itself  I believe the 1 1/4" bolt would be the weak point...or the threads.

Yes i am a go against-the-grain type im not a one-upper. I am a want to build it myself the way i want it and in a manor that doesnt look like a coppied 50 other people. I've been a big fan of custom since i was a small child building my own rc cars.

As far as what im trying to achieve well it's a sas'd truck on 42's that doesnt break every time i beat on it hence the desire for bigger ling dia. i want it strong not as heavy as i can possibly make it. I asked for thoughts on sleeving and 1.5" bung to fit a 2" pipe got a answere just build a bung i can do that i do know how and have 75% of the tools to do it. then i got a bunch of BS about different tubes and shit when i already had my answere.

So what im going to do is just figure shit out on my own from now and on it's the way i always used to do it and while it was more expensive in the long run it was always worth it know I did it without google or some one else holding my hand along the way. I share pics when it's done so you know what i achieved.

Detroit replaces the whole carrier, Lockright and Grizzly drop in place of the spider gears.

I had Lockrights front and rear on my last truck and really liked the simplicity. Never had to wonder if they would work or not because they always did.

I liked the lock rights until I wheeled harder... Both of them exploded. The front one grenaded everything in the diff last wheeling trip :( will never buy again.

it won't let a wheel spin slower then the input shaft (the pinion) but it will let the outside wheel spin faster when cornering to prevent tire scrub

Well shit. I was thinking of the 14 bolt Grizzly which replaces just the spider gears and keeps the stock carrier. The Aussie is very similar to Lockrights.

So I have been reading up on three link front and rear and originally wasnt going to run a 3 link for the rear of my 4 runner but i have decided to look into it. So i have been messing around on the three link calculator and taking what people say as far as desirable parameters and came up with these results. not saying this is a final by any means but does anyone have some constructive criticism on these numbers and the setup?

Edit: 1998 4 runner 40 inch tires dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear full width. 30 inch frame ride height. High way driving
