cuz I want to did the 3 link liked it now want the 4 link.

Edit: I get it I know I clash with a lot of you guys in here because I don't research a build for years. I don't do it how everyone else does it. I do it how I want to and then if it doesn't work or I have issues or I just get board the I do it again till im happy cuz at the end of the day that's all that really matters is my happiness.

If I enjoy it then it's not a waste of time. As far as money goes well don't be a pussy you cant take it with you when you die.

I guess I'm missing the reasoning besides "because I do what I want". There has to be some reason and logic behind your decision otherwise you wouldn't spend time/money to change it. Its ok to admit that the 3 link didn't handle as well as you'd hoped (if that was the case), thats part of R&D especially when you're lacking in the R department. I've done years of research finding out exactly what works best in the real world and it shows I guess. I am quite content with what I built because I can drive it at 80+mph down the freeway and feel completely safe. Goal achieved, no further modifications necessary

I knew when I wanted 30" frame height that my truck would never see 80+mph down the freeway. If you want a better reason as to why im doing it it's because I wanted a 4 link to begin with but chickened out and thought I would have clearance in a few places. Only after having built it I can say oh would you look at that if I just make a few minor changes then I can clear the 4 link just fine. the thing is If i research something it's with my parts and my design not someone else's i know that holds me back and costs me more money but it's how i do.

Pro's: 0 axle shift at full droop, it will make it easier to put in my air bumps, and I get to spend one more day in the R department ;)

Con's: it will cost me an extra $400 for one more link and the truss.

While im explaining things i might as well explain this all the boys im talking to in Washington laugh at rigs with 25 or less inches of frame height just because of the type of wheeling they do which just so happens to match what i do. Also ill be moving to Washington next year.

just make sure you're happy with your rig cuz you have to drive it and wheel it.

if it happens I know you will find a trailer and be hauling your taco to our wheeling spots because even though you want to drive it on the road you'll hate how fast tires die. a guy once told me it's the same cost to put 40's under his rig as it was for him to put tires under his tow rig and trailer. while he was correct the tires under his tow rig and trailer lasted 60K and his trugy was killing them in under 10K so there you have it. not cheaper at all. ill trailer my rig even though ive had it up to free way speeds and been ok with it. also don't know what kinda millage youll get at 10" of lift and 37's but on the freeway test I ran on my 40's it was at like 8MPG's keep in mind I plan on running a 42, and the cummins get 15 with the toy behind it. kinda a no brainer.

I much rather tow as well. Much more room and you don't need to worry about anything breaking and leaving you stranded. Shit will break, its inevitable.

This is my new tow rig :D

nice I wanted a newer cummins but knew I couldn't afford it and the sas so I found one I could build. it's getting a 5 speed swap this winter at some point. just need to get the regear and lock the taco's front diff first and then ill move on to the dodge. selling the auto should pay for the swap seeing how as all I need is a clutch.

Its a 2007 with the 5.9l with 90k miles. Not much done to it... Air dog 2, MBRP exhaust, S&B intake, Smarty s06 (Soon I will switch to EFI live) I actually dropped it off today to get some transmission upgrades... it's an auto unfortunately.

    What year? Looks pretty nice.

that would cost $31-34k around here.

It's amazing how overprices these things are.
I've been looking for a 04-07 5.9HO auto, quad cab short bed with approx 100k miles.
