I paid $24k... :D:D However, they do sell around here easily for 28-32k. I "knew" the guy who I purchased it from. He's pretty well off and didn't seem to care what it sold for and I made it easy for him. He didn't even have to list it on the web I bought it from him at the right time.

its a 2000 and paint started pealing on it but doesn't show in the pic.
I have well over 200K on my motor but it still runs good. next step for it is the 5 speed so I don't gut that auto out when I upgrade my turbo and injectors. ill stop upgrading shit when I hit 400 horse.

I've still got some time but I was thinking about something like an rtt or small pop up I could mount to the top of my goose neck cuz I love tenting it up now but later that will get old just like youre saying.

I passed up a 14 bolt with factory disc brakes that was on a Yukon at a junkyard..200 bucks and it could have been mine. I went back the next weekend and it was gone.

So guestimating on my corner weight and needed spring rate was way off. I bugged Mark for help and what do you know it's not so hard. With a little referencing from the coilover bible and a little more reading on pirate it would seem the easiest way to calculate spring rate is to get a set of used coils or new or whatever, and you can calculate sprung weight based on the deflection. So based on what I was seeing I came up with the number 1100#s. If I wanted 5" of up travel meaning the coils compressed 9" and giving an extra 200 lbs for bumper, dual battery and winch I ended up needed about a 137#/in spring rate which ends up being 575 total spring rate or a 225/350 combo.

I was really confused on where this 137#/in came from, and you need that number, but it's (coil rate 1 * coil rate 2)/(coil rate 1 + coil rate 2) or (350*225)/(350+225)

So if you have your corner weight and you know how much up travel you want you can solve for spring rate with algebra.

1232 lbs/9 inches of deflection = 137#/in spring rate which ends up being a 575 lbs total or in my case a 14" spring at 225 and a 16" spring at 350

SO if you have the spring rate like I did the first time, 205#/in, and how much it compressed, 5 3/8", you can calculate corner weight, 1100 lbs, and then calculate what spring rate you really need.

I kinda didn't believe it at first but I got my springs on and sits damn near perfect.

So thank you Mark. Just figured I'd share in case others are wondering the same thing and happen to stumble across it in a search.

Yeah that last bit didn't work out but we will see how they run.

    Thanks again Mark!

im not even going to lie. When it came time for me to figure out my spring rate I just called up poly performance when I was ordering my 18" saw's and asked the guy so what do you think I need for my Tacoma. he said oh ive sold lost of parts for guys sasing Tacoma's and then just sent me a 18" 200# and a 16" 150#. He also said if I need to change my spring rates I can just send them back for exchange as long as they are not damaged. I didn't have to cuz it worked out great for my application.

Also I forgot to mention I got my 4 link done. truck does drive better at high speeds no low speed change but mobbing it on a bumpy gravel road there is a massive difference (for the better). so all in all it's cleaner and im happy.
