I had thought about those routes over trying to resize a D60.

Are there any shorter axle shafts that are compatible with a shortened D60 housing? The shortened length of the housing would probably depend on the axle shaft avialablity.

Who makes axle shafts for the diamond and ruffstuff housings? Or are they all compatible with each other?

Are there shorter 'off the shelf' axle shafts available or do you have to have them completely custom made to order?

The only that I know of are dodge axles. They are 67.5" WMS, vs ford which is 69.25".

Otherwise custom shafts are in order http://www.branikmotorsports.com/

You laugh, do tell? KOH rigs are monsters. And So is Matt's on pirate  Way far superior than ifs

Not gonna have that argument here. Far superior no way. Some superior, sure. You just can't generalize. Its all in the individual vehicle build. You can dump as much money as you want into into anything and make it "strong". There are KOH rigs that are IFS btw too.

For example a SA mud truck wont hold a kandle to a IFS crawler in the rocks or on the trail. Just like a SA will get wasted in the dez by IFS, its all in the build.

I've put my shit up against a lot of SA rigs and shown alot of them up as well.

    And I'll race you :p

If the SA will get wasted in the desert by IFS, how do you explain first place SA KOH every year? That shit is desert :p

^ This is true... I'm tired of the same damn "to tint or not to tint my tail lights" or "what the best, cheap lift" thread.

Yeah that's where I got most of my info. RST is really good, a lot of good feed back. Pirate had a lot of good reading but very little responses

Here's you some solid axle bs; what would be 1) Your dream SAS/DD rig and axle setup and 2) what would be your go all-out, spare no expense, buggy build be?
