    These are just the "complaints" I've read about the 3rd gens. I did replace all my BJs at 90k miles (when I bought the truck - as they all had play) And I replaced both axle u joints since they were known for failure when I had the axle apart. My truck does wander around the road - but I've accepted it and I still like it better than my 2nd gen tacoma. The 2nd gen was great in certain aspects, but I just needed the diesel for towing. It is seriously a night and day difference. :cool:

    I found that if you have a taller lift spring and pull a few leafs out of it so it doesn't hold you as high then you get really good flex out of them. Im about to do that with my rear pack.

    Agreed My cummins just got swapped from the 4 speed auto to a 5 speed MT. and next on the list is 300HP rv injectors. that with the chip im running and everything else I've done the motor should be putting out around 400HP and 800 ft. lb. of torque. for all that I can deal with it wandering at higher speeds.

    So procomp six inch lift shocks aren't adequate for the Chevy 63's. :) already blew both rear shocks running mild trails. I'll primal just pull them for tomorrow. I have an extra set for the drive home. These are just temporary till my kings come in.

    The 63's are awesome though.

    Well, I found out why my steering was super sketchy. The steering shaft and come loose from the orbital. Had a good 1/4" of play in it. I dicked around on my cousin's farm today it got stupid loose and was easy to figure out from there.

    I had the same problem. Only mine came loose and actually fell off, luckily I was going slow on a straight part of the trail!! :eek:

    Yeah I didn't really realize it till I was running 40-50 mph down the road... could have been bad! This is why shakedown runs are necessary lol. Also I forgot to secure the part of the wiring harness that runs to the the tranny and o2 sensors and the front driveshaft pulled the wires out of the plug for the rear o2. Now I gotta figure out what wire goes where

    Well this has turned out to be an expensive weekend. The driveshaft bit the dust, and I think I know why. The axle wrapped enough to bend the new leafs and allow the pinion to angle up too high causing the flange to break.

    Once the leafs have gotten to this point can they be re arched?

    As cheap as 63's are, I would just pick up a new set. And fwiw that's why I left the overloads in on both my rigs. I will eventually remove them and put on a trac bar

    If these were just cheap factory 63's I wouldn't even think about re arching them. These are the skyjacker leafs. :(

    I'll either have the overload or the trac bar done before my next trip.

    allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
    Holy crap you did a number on those leafs. Those are definitely past the point of re-arching.
