    Really? I can't remember where I read it, but I've been under the impression that the 1st gen case is 2.28 for a few years now...

    Just the norm skids, sliders, & 35's
    Marlin has it on there website that it's 2.57:1. Also by looking at pictures of the cases I'm really not sure of the differences. The only thing I can think of is the transmission bolt pattern is different. To me it would make sense to use the same case but since there are two didn't adapters for dual cases I'd assume that's where the difference is.

    that's why my atlas primary case is a 2.7 and the rear case is a 3.0 just a little more gear down then the factory for the bigger tire, or if I wanna crawl slam em both in low.

    I just got done packing to leave for a 4 day wheeling trip in Harlan Ky tomorrow :D

    Only 30 miles on my rear axle swap, I figure that's enough testing for a 1000 mile + trip lol!!

    I'm following a guy with a street legal 4 runner on a trailer, so worst comes to worst we toss the taco on there and I drive his runner the rest of the way. Or yank the axle shafts and drive shaft off the rear axle and run it in front wheel drive. Im getting there one way or another lol!!

    First time Jon rides with me... 10 minutes into the wheeling day and I fucking break a rear axle shaft a explode the rear locker......

    2 years later Jon tags along and TEN FUCKING MINUTES INTO THE DAY I fucking exploded the front locker, and the ring and pinion was fucked too.

    lesson learned, let jon ride AFTER the 10 minute mark
