How so....I run hammers and some nasty stuff a lot and haven't had a issue yet....I have a dual set up in my shop but haven't needed it yet and guaranteed I've ran so e big rock piles and notches......
Ripped motor mounts clean out, tranny mounts ripped apart, started to tear my core support dented my frame up , dented the front of my rock assault diff, smashed doors and bed sides in, rear drive shaft smoked, flopped already and go air borne as well as built it as a dual purpose go fast and crawl anything set up...

I can see it for more control on sledgehammer type stuff and backdoor but hasn't been an issue....I will give backdoor a shot here shortly and without dual cases....
Just curious as to your point of breakage...
More along the lines of what am I not seeing or overlooking ...?

    And supra TT
Those axles are BEAST....wow....love the hydro set up....where did you find that pic ID be curious to see the build those are going on....

I think the auto vs the stick makes all the difference in the world whether people feel the need for a crawler or not. On my auto 4Runner I never felt like I really had to have lower gears but on my 5 speed Tacoma I felt like it needed to be a high priority. My clutch hated life any time in the rocks at all.

I don't see the cost comparison between an atlas or built duals either....I just priced out a dual setup with chromo 4.7's, chromo f/r outputs, plus both adapters for between $2k and $2.5k depending on what kind of deal you get on the gear drive cases. Lot cheaper than a $4k atlas....

Yeah, I keep telling people to go duals before they go sas. To me it's by far the best mod you can make.

Lower gearing does two things for you right out the gate. One is it gives you more control over stuff. Two, because you have more control you now have less breakage of everything on your truck, including but not limited to Ripped motor mounts clean out, tranny mounts ripped apart, started to tear my core support dented my frame up , dented the front of my rock assault diff, smashed doors and bed sides in, rear drive shaft smoked,

Wheel speed and horse power is what breaks stuff out there more often than not. Controlled torque, if your not bound up, just gets you over stuff

That's right....I forgot a lot of guys still do the stick thing,,,,,I have been doing auto for so long I thought everyone wanted to be texting while crawling by now....lol

Yeah I've got dual cases at the shop and will put them in eventually partly because they are there and there are some spots that it would be nice to chug up something....

Based on a non ignorant use....(I've seen plenty of shock load breakage over 24 years)
torque breaks stuff.....the lower gearings ability to shear load stuff is increased with the lower gearing.
My core support was battery not supported right, motor was bounced around and so was tranny from age and abuse but it was more speed and whoops that took it out at TDS....

You will see more use for poly mounts after doubling cases as well as axle breakage....a motor will usually bog when bound a doubled case will allow for movement which can shear or twist stuff....the motor will definently rotate harder as the drive train isn't stalled..

Ignorance can break anything...lol even peoples patients with it....

Yes people with a heavy foot will break stuff axles cases etc.....motor mounts and case mounts usually not that's a bouncing thing from speed or torque load.....

I see your point and agree to some of it....stuffs going t break or your not going hard enough.....whether its glass, axles, wheels or pride some things got to give...lol

ID say he's referring to t-cases based on the size ID say the ring and pinion is going to survive a war....or possibly tranny.

I completely regret regearing my IFS first instead of getting a crawlbox. I made the decision based on that fact that I would have to get the driveshafts modified.

Just look at the build thread
I plan on getting a lefty before a SAS. No need for duals though.

Axle shafts and hubs, u joints. Even the ring and pinion can be your weak point. But with something that big and strong it pushes your weak link to your t case, and transmission now. It is pretty impressive but I want an easy fix fuse in my system. That's why I run very simple spicer u joints in my front axle. The hubs used to be my weak link with the warns but after replacing a few of those I went with the yukons and made the joints the weak link. (I think. ;). We'll see over time. It's easy for my to pull an axle out and change a u joints

I just posted it because It was pretty sweet. Probably going in a rock bouncer of some sort anyway. I'd never run that axle, Dana 60 is all you need in this world (up front anyway) :D
