Went wheeling and had a blast...nothing like wet dirt mud and rocks...pushed passenger door in and almost flopped a few times...grip was less than stellar...

Good to hear. I'm glad we were able to get the dual pull option worked into the build. Costs aside, it's nice to have a project you can continually improve upon.

Yea it was pretty sloppy. Nice day of hung over wheeling (don't ever drink with someone from Nepal). Didn't see you but saw your tow rig in the lot. We didn't get there until almost noon. Wheeled with two jeeps, one broke the rear driveshaft, the other broke his 14bolt and a control arm bolt, I broke nothing lol!! Did some more body damage and complained about not having a front locker, got lost on the orange trail, so usual wheeling trip lol.

Decided I'm going to start collecting parts soon. Just need to sell my Runner first. Not exactly sure what direction I'm going to go but I have a couple months to figure it out. I know everyone says go tons from the beginning but I'm only aiming to run 36s or so. Don't want to use a Toyota axle though.

Ford? What's all built about it? I'd highly recommend RCV.

Well he got drunk and told me he'd give it to me. But then the next day when he was sober he said he'd like $1000 for it. Might can get it a couple hundred cheaper than that though.

$1000 still good. Ball joints will run ya $200 unless he still has a receipt for his moog ones. Lifetime warranty otherwise.

You should have loaded it up right then and there LOL!!

My friends running one of those axle converted over to 8lug in his v8 zj on 37s and he has had ok luck with it. He blew up the ring gear once, but he blames Currie for the bad setup and they redid it under warranty, and he grenaded 2 sets of RCV's, also replaced under warranty. They are lasting now, he said the RCV's were a pain in the butt to install, he said he should have went d60.

This, may as well do it once and not twice. Cheaper that way.

Meh. I'd rather run the D44 for now.
