Yup! I'm hoping the money floodgates will open up a bit, since i have to get my truck built, and bugs shaken out by July before i go on a wheeling trip out west.

Always difficult to make the case for a $500 dollar part being a "deal"!! LOL

It's not really about the money in my case, more so about the time I'd put into getting it together. I already get enough shit about not helping with wedding planning or not doing dishes or something haha

Yea I hear ya! I quit my job mid shift and was unemployed 6months before our wedding right when the bills started rolling in LOL, talk about ratcheting up the stress level!!

I remember our wedding planning actually being not that bad, we both told our family's to butt the hell out, and i told her i don't care about table cloths or flower colors so that's up to her, after that it was painless. Hell we cut our cake with a 3foot machette!!

Ignoring evreyone's opinions is the key, do whatever you two want, that's my advice.

Back on topic check the pirate for sale forum in the misc area, there was a dude selling those ruff stuff brackets for like 250 bucks.

Thankfully our families are taking care of most of the financials.

I picked the venue and I told her my work is done haha. I keep telling her its her day, I just have to show up! Even though she knows I don't care about the details she still insists on hearing my opinion.

And I'll have to go check that out, thats cheap!

My longtime girlfriend just doesn't want to know the finances of building and working on a crawler. She says I can do whatever I want till we get hitched and all that jazz. Something about a rig not being a sound financial investment....

I tell my girl everything so she knows what i spend on parts and what i want to spend on parts but she enjoys going off road with me so she knows the value of a truck that rarely breaks.

When mine starts giving me a hard time about the money I always tell her I could be spending it on strippers and cocaine.... that normally shuts her up

or something equally as fun but pointless.

See you should have made her believe it first be more wild in your younger days actually spend money on coke and hookers. I don't dare threaten my girl with coke and hookers she will start to think i don't love her any more.
