After getting the wife's permission for 7 grand I didn't feel it necessary to add a plasma cutter to the tools needed...

What's another $350?!?! You can get some cheap ones online. They certainly aren't no lincoln or miller, but they get the job done good enough.

02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.

I would either buy or borrow a torch and plasma. I could not imagine doing all that cutting with cut off wheels and sawzall blades. Shit i was going nuts cutting brackets off my 80 axle using them.

X2 only advice i can give for those buying one is double the thickness of material you think youll need to cut through. I'll eventually be getting a bigger one.

Just got a horizontal band saw last year and when you are cutting angles on tube and what not that thing is the shit for that. I can cut a block of solid steel 10" X10"

One step closer towards SAS. I ordered an Inchworm crawl box from Low Range with a set of Trail Gear 4.7 gears. With a little peer pressure I also picked up an FJ transfer case off of Ebay.

I had planned on swapping the input on my transfer case to one from an automatic, but opted to not go that route.

We'll see if Low Range keeps to their timeline of having the crawl box shipped out by the end of next week.

I'm guessing they're slammed with sales considering they were offering 10% off. I'm with you in hoping it doesn't take that long.

True. 10% off is a lot when buying a lot of stuff and having a lot of the trail gear stuff on sale was nice too. The total still wasnt very nice though hahahah oh well though. Do it once, and do it right is what I keep saying.

All pro 3 link SAS kit, Diamond axle, kings on 37" MTR/K
    Hey guys!
The All Pro black betty build really has me thinking of converting to a solid axle. If I do it, I'll probably source everything from all pro just for convenience. Curious to hear what you guys think of their kit. I'm sure I can build it cheaper, but I figure if I'm gonna do it, might as well go all out
Looking forward to learning from you all

    :edit:
Just some background on me, I am a leadman machinist at Pearl Harbor, I have a pretty well equipped machine shop at home, I have a 3 process welder, and I can weld a little. but I have a few good buddies that are probably some of the best welders in Pearl Harbor. I usually let them weld on my truck. Also, I will be having my good friend Jesse (@1uzrnr) helping me out and doing the ordering for me. All the work on my truck and my wifes was done in my shop mostly by myself, and I have done a lot of work on other members' trucks in my shop too.

I can't speak for their whole lot but I am using their 3 link brackets for mine, very affordable and beefy! They were a lot better than expected, that being said my shits not even a roller yet so these are just initial impressions.

That Black Betty build is dope, it's a little to low IMO though.

I had the "kit". At that time the kit was really just a first gen kit they sent me. It was definitely not a long arm kit, links were like 30", I sent it all back and made my own everything, exactly how I wanted it, and am better off.

I've always wondered why their links were so short...

I guess the upside is you can buy everything in the kit separately so you can just leave out link material, source your own and make them whatever length you desire.
