I would save up and get an atlas, i would not even mess around with the stock tacoma chain drive stuff with a crawl box infront of it, the adpaters are crazy expensive and you have been there, done that.

I pull my truck with a 16" trailer. Could get away with even smaller lol.

Opinions on ruffstuff vs. diamond for fabricated housing? Looking at going full width when I link. Ruffstuff quoted $1185 + shipping and I have to send in a pair of knuckleballs. Diamond quoted $925 +shipping if I supply knuckleballs or $1075 + shipping if they supply them

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
I think the ruffstuff housing is better but at that price I would go with Diamond and have them supply the knuckle balls .

It may be hard to find but there's some link info on pirate from a few of the good builds on there. I doubt you can really get great numbers being a body on frame rig as space limits what you can do with link placement.

I have plenty of room and can play around with almost all of it just trying to see what some of you guys got in anti squat.

Which ever has the smaller center is the one I'd go with. The Ruffstuff housing is nice but the center section is huge and will more than likely limit up travel.

RuffStuff because I am a fanboy, it's just a sexy ass housing. Also if you are patient wait until 4th of July they usually do at least 10-15% off the stuff they make I bet you can get a better price on the housing.

Come on, just look at it

Jesus the ruffstuff axles got expensive! Is that just the housing? I remember when those were like 450 bucks. Cant go wrong with either.

I would also look into just swapping in a 14b and a front 60. You may be able to snag a good deal with someone parting out a crawler.

Yeah that just the housing for both. I don't know that I want to go to tons. I like the idea of staying all Toyota plus what I'm running is plenty strong and half the weight of a 60/14. I just want a little more width

Hell I'm putting all the weight I can on the axles. More unsprung weight - lower COG.
