Tempting. I'm wanting to go ARB as well, but if the price is right I may pick that up from you.

How's the spartan handle street driving?

This thing is no comparison in terms of quality and construction to the Lockright I used to have. Its just like any other lunchbox style locker, only beefier. It will still click or chirp depending if you're on the gas or coasting. I only ran it up front, which is rarely engaged on the street anyway. Posted on pirate for $300 shipped, ECGS has them for $392.

I have one in the rear on my truck, i hated it at first as it was always locking and unlocking randomly around corners. I then welded frame reinforcement plates to the rear due to another unrelated problem and the locker was happy, im guessing i was getting some frame flex LOL. Now i can barely notice that its there unless im hard on the gas and let off it wants to dart to one side a bit, or if its wet out and im turning.

Quality wise its awesome and STUPID easy to install. No dicking around with pins and springs through windows. I was going to buy one for the front but bought a barely used aussie locker and i hate it already and its not even installed. Over hyped piece of kangaroo crap. I'm giving it one season before it blows up like a lock rite.

Apparently you can get a new one on ebay for $330 so $250 shipped takes the spartan.

Test fit last night and it has 5" of uptravel at the frame rails :luvya:.

However the drag link hits the edge of my oil pan at some angles, the plan to fix: beat the fuck out of the oil pan and make room. Flex testing it tonight with the floor jack.

So finished the swap and have been doing some running around in it that's close to the house. Drives great but I do have a small vibration In the floor boards when accelerating. And then there is a severe vibration (shakes the mirrors and steering wheel) when sitting at a stop light or any time the truck is in drive with my foot on the break. Any ideas? The 3rd is pointed at the tcase so don't think it's that but not ruling it out just yet.

What's everyone doing for power steering cooling?

I'm probably going to run a really long return line for now until I get a cooler.

Are you running hydro assist? If not i would try it without a cooler, and if your box and pump are hateing life add a cheap trans cooler from the parts store. I was tossing round the idea of using the trans cooler in my radiator, but i think i have a big enough box and enough hose that ill be fine.

I'm running a Derale heat sink cooler. I can't recall the exact size but it is either a 12" or 14"

Attempting to go up Twister at Barnwell Mountain. I wasn't spinning the tires or bound up either. I'm guessing it was already damaged from previous trips.

Let's see it! I'm sure it will show just how unimpressive of a predicament I was in. :D
