Anyway to solve that? It also sounds like it might be the spring hanger moving horizontally

Check and see if there is any wiggle room between your bushings and the front spring hanger or shackles. As the axle loads side to side they can shift back and forth in any slop and cause a clunk.

My clunking from the tie rods comes and goes. Not sure if there's any fix to stop it.

Could be the hanger or Shackles and springs shifting like you and snowy said. I tightened everything to where it started squeezing the leaf spring bushings then backed it off a half turnish and haven't had a problem with them.

I agree but there is a certain utility that comes with the flat bed. It all depends on what you're after. My current truck will keep it's bed, but Basketcase probably wont. Carrying a 40" or bigger spare is a problem thats easier to solve with a flat bed. not to mention I'm missing the last foot of my frame anyhow. If the bed was shitty I might consider bobbing it, but it's pretty decent. Rather just sell it and do something wilder

Just went out and messed with a few things on my front end. Gf was here so had here turn the steering wheel while I watched the front and the clunk I'm hearing is from all my leaf springs shifting. The main one is staying put but the others are shifting in there "clamps" or whatever you want to call them.

It will be badass if that makes you feel better. I just ordered the mediablaster. SHould have enough cash to order cheap rear shocks and a set of coilovers for the front this week. Hopefully when I get paid again I can get the link kit and rear springs. Going to try a set of 3" lift Chevy 63s. Which I think is what these are:

those springs are going to be tall, try and find a 4 leaf set of 63s at a junkyard, that will already be a 3-4'' lift. So a 3'' lift 63 will be pretty damn tall, guess it depends what you're going for. This is only a 3 leaf 63 pack and 14'' strut in the front, 25'' frame height.

Not only that but if you say you're missing a foot of frame that doesn't leave a lot of room to put 63s on

Not sure haha like I said, mine comes and goes but it mainly happens after I go wheeling. Ill mess with it more next week. Ill start with making sure the center pin is tight and all the hangers and shackles are tight.

I'm sensing some butthurt over your financed $13k paperweight.

Welcome to a SAS'ed truck. I tried chasing squeaks, clunks and otherwise with my truck for a minute before I just embraced it's quirky-ness and wheeled the hell out of it.
