head lights i wouldn't worry about either but the doors and other parts of the cab i would worry about. In order of danger of damage sliders, then rear bumper, then front.

Long shot, but anyone have tips for getting the snap ring out of the axle/unit bearing? I can't seem to spread it enough yet to get it started pulling off

so i took my truck to gulches orv park (laurens, sc) and did some pretty big stuff but ran into a problem about an hour in.. my radiator is a very snug fit between my frame rails. Such so that I had to kinda force it in between them. Well when my frame flexed and twisted slightly it pushed the radiator together on both sides and caused a small leak. enough to ruin the day and need a new radiator. My question is, does anyone know if I get the 18" will it still sit between the frame rails? I'd like for it to sit above them if at all possible to prevent this again.

I narrowed my front frame a half inch on each side and im running the smallest 4cyl tacoma radiator and i had to grind the brackets down to get it to fit. I have about an 1/8" clearence on each side.

Grind the radiator till it fits!

Or notch the frame around the radiator.

Or if you have the budget, look aftermarket like Griffin, Ron Davis, etc.

Mine is nearly the same physical size as the 22R, so hopefully it will keep it cool in the AZ Canyons.

just looking at the pics it doesnt look like it has any armor. Hence my saying id put some armor on it but if you got it ignore my comment.

only pic someone took before the radiator busted..
also found out i hit something hard enough to stretch the bed out to where the tailgate wouldn't close. had to ratchet strap the bed back together enough to close the tailgate.

All that black and rust blends in the pic. It had full armor and a winch before the street tires even came off of it!

I have full days into this truck that is in my opinion a good 3 inch's too tall.

I have not pulled in compound low yet. I put mine in low (3.0-1), put it first gear, put the lockers in, also i have a set of airbags that just set into place and hold the rear end up cuz my first pull squatted me bad. not sure what the rules are there but here maximum hitch height is 26". Last piece of advice is slowly press the throttle until you're moving and once you're moving put that thing on the floor and don't let off till you stop.

As far as front end weights well it depends on your weight class and how much room you have to work with but they cant hurt that's for sure.
