Artec sells really beefy parts. I have a mini truss and my steering arms are from them as well. Good stuff.

Well hear you go. Took first place pulling 275' 10". The smallest motor competing against me was a 454 big block in the 500 horse power rang.

Yeah bought it from a guy that did zero maintenance and just beat on it. Only had time to go through the rear axle and engine got propane. Now front axle time:thumbsup:

the sled is 30,000#'s last year i used single low 3.0-1 and first gear. This year i put it in double low and drive, it started in second gear and shifted the third gear then i pulled it back down into second because it didn't want to down shift.

I have a lot to finish before then. Auto swap, Atlas, full hydro and 3 link. I may have to have a wrench a thon to get it ready for a shakedown.

So I may have the opportunity to pick up some 2" FOA air bumps from a buddy and would want to mount them on the front. I know most guys here are linked but anyone have any pictures of air bumps on leaf sprung sas? I found a few threads on pirate but wanted to ask here as well. Seems most bump off the U bolt plate.

They are perfectly fine on any set-up. Bump them wherever, but the ubolt plate is generally easiest, since it's a large pad already. I bumped my leaf springs RIGHT behind the ubolt plate onto the actual leaf spring as it was more convenient for me. However, I was using rubber bumps at that time, but it wont matter.

It's best to bump them straight up and down, it's almost impossible to get it just right on up/down and articulation up/down. So, best to do it for straight up-down movement.

I know you guys are gonna beat me up for asking this.... Ive got a friend that has a built 9" with 513s, and a high pinion dana 44 with 513s as well. Im not a rock crawler, just a snow wheeler. Im currently running 488 with 39.5 iroks on IFS. Do you think I can run this as a strait axle setup? I run 35's during the summer months.
