I have a big ass aluminum floor jack inside my tool box with a big piece of wood for extra leverage. I can still use it after the SAS, and have used it on the trails before. Way easier, faster and less scary than a hi lift.

Any tall guys in here with aftermarket seats? I'm 6'4" and think I might have broken something on my seat this last trip lol. Just picked up a leather passenger seat from a 4Runner, but want to have something better for the drivers seat.

That will work fine, but you know wire gauge and sheet metal gauge are a little different. I have a chart and I just use a caliper to measure. It's only a few thousandths difference, but in the 14-16 gauge range, the wire and sheet metal could be measured wrong. Not a big deal at all and they will work fine, just wanted to make sure you are aware :)

:edit: Amazon listing is wrong, that is a sheet metal gauge, not a wire gauge

Right, this is just for sheet metal. I don't have calipers yet...

It says it's for wire gauge. But it's close enough that it'll work fine for sheet metal too. A few thousandths won't matter.

    :edit:
I checked the dimensions on your gage and compared them to my chart, and those are sheet metal dimensions so the Amazon listing is wrong. That is a sheet metal gauge.

It is a sheet metal gauge, I edited my posts.
Amazon listing is wrong, but like I said, the dimensions are only a couple thousandths difference, so it'll work for either.

Lol no. One of my Buddies is pushing up to 40's this summer and he has enough room to Cary a spare but who knows. I guess our wheeling style just doesn't kill tires often. The one tire I lost was a patched tire and the repair had failed for the third time hence my destructive attitude twards it

I would be nervous wheeling without a spare :D

But again, if you haven't had tire failure than why worry...though gotta watch for Murphey's law haha

I have 4 hutchinsons and 37" MTRs inbound. I'm probably just gonna buy a cheap and lightweight 17" wheel, and a cheap 37" tire for a spare.
Now way I'm gonna buy matching spares.

I always have a spare back at camp. So if shit does go sideways I have a back up plan. Having said that it's not on a rim so have swap it at camp and bring it back

Hopefully you don't drive too far away from home :D

I also bought a beater tire for my spare. 40"s are too expensive

Ah, I see. Mounting those big tires on the wheels can be a pain sometimes...nothing that a couple of guys jumping on it to set it cannot fix:D

Three new ball joints in my F250 today and I'm willing to stay on Toyota axles just so that you don't need a monster impact and a sledge to work on it! 60 outers are pure beef.

Fortunately I just pulled the trigger on a Dewalt 1/2" impact that made it about a 3 hour job total. It would have taken all day with hand tools.

That's why you go with a kingpin D60 instead for an offroad build :D
