I definitely learned a lot with my project and it certainly put a mark on my wallet :D

Your rig is really awesome man. So your builder got lazy and did not paint the parts for you? :D :D

thanks man... Yeah I got sucked into the AP hype and now only thing AP is the lower links, well and the rear leafs that showed up scratched as all hell and are almost flat with zero weight in bed...:annoyed: Only the frame needs to be painted. His shop is really not set up for paint, so all the removable parts got powder coated. I was not going to powder coat the axle as I will be touching it up with a rattle can.:D

So it seems you are not a big fan off AP anymore :D

Ironically, the AP 3" springs I had before the SAS were really good. They never lost any arch.

Rattle can is the way to go!!

haha yeah I'm not impressed at all. Now the leafs,if they were a true 3" lift I'd be happy. I'll probably check into getting them re arched. I'm barley pushing 3" in rear even with the shackle flip. Not sure if you can see in the picture but pretty flat to me:notsure: only about 1" arch. Just seems like they should have more of an arch? Or is the 3" lift from the 10 Leaf pack itself?

Those springs look wonkey to me...like "S" shaped already. Is the top leaf actually doing anything?

Hmmm first I've seen or heard of this? Why does the shackle flip cause flat springs? I have friends with shackle flip kit and Deavers (10 pack same as mine)that are not flat. I'm open to suggestions on a better shackle rout if this is truly causing them to be flat. Well other then stock that is.

Yep that's what I thought. Not sure whats going on:notsure:

Because 2nd gen leaf springs are designed for an inverted shackle. By design a traditional shackle then flattens the pack. You can either go custom and get a pack designed for the shackle flip or go back to stock.

Yeah just read up on it after you posted that. Makes sense now on why its doing that, and I was looking at different LT inverted shackles. Not sure if I'm going to play with new leafs of have custom inverted shackles made. Either way thanks for pointing that out.:hattip:

That's the anti axle wrap leaf. And it's supposed to be towards the front. Your leafs are either on backwards or put back together wrong  They call it the torque leaf, and it's supposed to be on the same side as the military wrap leaf.

Also, my friend just did the Archive flip with the AP standards, and his leafs look just like yours. The sagging part anyway.

My AP standard pack is not flat, and I have a shackle flip. I do agree, I'll eventually change to a custom leaf pack down the road.

I don't think a picture of a truck not sitting on its own weight is a fair comparison :notsure:

The front jacks aren't supporting the weight.

Well Shit...Yep looks like the stack is not correct. The military wrap is to the front, so looks like I just need to re stack them.I will still have custom inverted shackles made or new leafs to correct bigger issue.

After reading some of the replies that other people posted I actually learned a few things myself lol. I am actually not very knowledgable on 2nd gen tech, so the whole shackle flip thing was interesting.

Anyway, yea, your springs are certainly flat. My AP 3" never looked like that at all.

One thing leads to the other and before you realize you'll be linking the rear too :D

Huh weird! You would think with a 10leaf pack they would be nice and stiff/arched.

I have been happy with my all pros, they were made by bettes who make good stuff, no idea who makes them now. I bent my 8 leaf deavers into an s pretty quick but damn did they ride nice for a few years!

    2nd gen problems!!:luvya:
