My buddy @deeezy is coming over this weekend to work on his coilovers. He has 35" iroks with normal wheel weights. Since his front tires are coming off anyway, I'm gonna throw them on the truck when he's not looking

Took apart my front calipers tonight to clear out a bunch of shitty caked mud from last time I went wheeling and got caught in rain... rears are makin noise, and close enough to need replacement so gotta track down some pads and clean up the rears... made me actually look to remind myself how much of a bastard rear axle I have... Ford 8.8 from an exploder, chromoly shafts, disc brakes, oh and the rotors were drilled for a 6x5.5 lug pattern as opposed to the standard 5x4.5...

    Still beats @bullaculla DW :cookiemonster:

Jk, I got the pleasure of experiencing DW in my old jeep... I bent some shit while wheeling in Cali. Made for a long ass drive home

The more I think about it, it's probably those shitty beadlocks. Send them to me and as the certified safety professional that I am, I will ensure they are properly disposed of :D.

Are you sure it's legit death wobble and not just tire vibration? What happens if you crank it up to 80mph?

I haven't tried to go past 45. I've never experience wobble like this before and it scares the shit out of me  literally feels like the wheels are falling off. I don't think it's actual death wobble since geometry is good and everything is tight. Just wheel balance. I'll narrow it down soon.

Is it mainly wiring and such, or are you missing driveline parts? It looks mostly complete to me. What I meant was, can you get it running without spending a ton of money?

Wiring/plumbing, axles are essentially empty, engine isn't finished, and needs tires. Could probably get it up and running for as little as $5k, but the way I wanted to build it would be another $20k. :anonymous:

X2. It is a big expense but worth every penny.

I also give my vote to the dyna beads being the potential culprit. I have never met anybody that could dial them in perfectly the first time around

Okay, swapped tires front to back, no change.
    Dumped the dynabeads, no change.
Had the front tires balanced at Goodyear, they said tires wasn't centered on the wheels, and I can't see how that is possible with the hutchinsons, but whatever... they said they can only static balance it. No change.
So I was checking everything again, and noticed I can rock the drivers side tire a little from the top and hear light clunking. I think the axle came with a loose wheel bearing...
Gonna take it apart after I find a 54mm socket so I can adjust it.

Thanks guys. So it might not have been the beads. Loose bearing would mean it is actual death wobble :(

It could also be trunnion bearings.

I don't do the wheel bearing nut to a torque value, you are better off tightening it until you have the proper bearing preload as measured with a spring scale (fish scale method).

I checked them too. I put an indicator on a few places. The knuckle doesn't rock. Just the hub. I put it on the wheels rim, and I get about 0.030" of movement without having to put much force on it. Pretty sure they just didn't tighten the bearing well.

A loose wheel bearing would do it!
