Pretty much this and to compound the stupidity potentially going into debt for a depreciating asset/toy. Then again it all could have been paid for in cash, you never know.

Judging by the pic of the owner, let's start the countdown until the owner comes in to this thread saying "fuck all y'all you just all be hatin"

It won’t take long based on his looks.

I think a lot of the guys are the people who just have a revolving toy. First it’s a built Fox/F-body, then it’s a jet boat/ski boat, then it’s a late model crawler, and then a 3/4 ton diesel....It’s a never ending cycle of racking up a bunch of debt, selling to pay off the debt, and getting an itch again.

i love building stuff, its the fun part to me. using them is fun to, but its easy to get bored if it doesnt get used as much as one would like. if i could have multiple projects to just throw money at id be happy as fuck. reality is it typically isnt possible without having debt, being broke, or taking forever. responsibility can be a bitch

Does anyone here have over 14” coilovers. I found a few videos and they put 20” ori shocks on it front and rear. That’s a ton of travel

I thought the reason why most tacoma guys go with 3-link up front is because it is easier to keep the ride lower. That truck doesn't look that tall considering the gigantic tire size judging by the pic of the guy standing behind the tire [unless the guy happens to be a super short dude:laughing:

It is easy to assume things. Lot of people get in debt and that's how they do things, but that's not always the case. But yea, I agree that doing all of that to a brand new truck is probably a terrible idea in terms of vehicle depreciation.

@Timbo89 I have 14" coilovers and cannot imagine going any bigger than that. There's a local guy that has 16" I believe in his tacoma, but he has an insane amount of both up travel/down travel. However, his rig is almost a buggy lol

14" up front and 18" out back for the leafs.

I don't see how the uppers are going to clear anything. I'd love to see some detailed pics of that thing.

And it probably uses a 3 in body lift like the rest of his builds. Not impressed with any of it for the money it costs and how he runs a business or his followers that go around bad mouthing other peoples rigs.

And he never posts any tech. People always ask but its "top secret". Theres a thread on facebook (I forget the group name) but its well over 200 comments now where he dances around all never answering questions and just him bad mouthing 3 link and leaf spring builds and when asked if the full hydro is street legal he just posts a picture of trail gears disclaimer that certain one of their products are "offroad only".

Look at the silver 4 door 1st gen he built. Finished it and took it to the hammers with no sliders, no bumpers and no skids and beat the crap out of it lol.

Maybe the guy worked his ass off to get where he is and afford to do stupid shit. Not sure why the general consensus is that everyone is poor. But whatever, I'm over here with my 85 stoked on my new 3" front leafs :woot:
