    Don't want springs.

Why would you go 62 axles?

That things going to ride like shit and not support any weight without springs...

Wider than the 40 axles, 9.5" diffs and they use mini truck outers so parts are evreywhere, the rear axle shafts are also huge. I wheel with a guy who has a 350 in a 40 with 60 axles, SOA on leafs and it pretty much never breaks and goes up anything.

To clarify i mean i don't want leaf springs. I'll run dual rated coil-overs, and being that a stock 40 weighs around 3500 and most likely when finished being around 5000lbs i don't see that being an issue.

I was just being a smart ass I knew what ya meant ;).

It's Tacoma world I assume anytime anyone says springs it's referring to some sort of a coilover system until told other wise lol.

Stock steering on my fj80 axle. Running solid aluminum tie rod and drag link. Ran low steer one my last rig too with a heat treated chromoly tie rod. As long as your steering links can handle the abuse it's not a problem. Liquid Iron Industries made my custom length aluminum steering links drilled and tapped, it was like $220 for the pair. Cost would have been almost the same for me to make something out of steel after you factor in weld-in tube adaptors and DOM.

For me it was to bring everything up higher (out the way). I’ve seen people hit the shit out of the tie rod. And be fucked on a trail.

    That’s really my reason.

I’m no where near and expert on this stuff but that’s what I’ve seen as a benefit.

Thing I don’t like about high steer is it eats up all your room for up-travel. It’s hard enough already keeping these trucks from being too tall.

Running hysteer here, have to for leafs sprung over unless I want to go with some ghetto ass y link/bent drag link setup. As for uptravel I built a new front frame, hacked up the oil pan and put on airbumps to solve that issue. Running low 20" belly height.

I would run it again even if I was linked after building this. I have all the uptravel articulation I need, and I don't go fast off-road so my 2.5" of bump travel is plenty for what I need.

why are all of you afraid of being tall? my frame height is like 31" or some shit truck does fine everywhere i go even with the 18" coil overs that are soft and let the truck lean entirely to damn much

I think this qualifies as high steer have yet to hit it on anything.

Generally I want my rig to feel like a race car. I like to drive/corner hard and I like being able to drive on the street without attracting too much attention from the police. Lots of vehicle regulations in NJ. Also a tall ride hight might work good but with all other things the same a lower center of gravity will always be better. Look at just about any performance vehicle out there, Trophy trucks, class 1, formula offroad, Ultra4, all have relatively low center of gravity.

TTC all tall AF. Why? Deep ass water crossing also when my friends get stuck in the snow they dig out the entire truck where as i just have to dig out two axles

i went first through this shit and had to back up to pull the danger ranger through this shit.

I want to be in between I guess you could say. I’m going to be around 24” frame height. Don’t really want it to low since I don’t want to be riding my bumpstops all the time.

I was thinking around 24" ride height, and a wheelbase of 105-110. (mind you this is for a FJ40 not my tacoma). I was just looking at the cost of parts and was wondering if hysteer was worth it out of the box or just a stronger tie rod. idk just thinking out loud.
