    yeah that's exactly why i had mine sas'd before i started a life.

    Crawler life has its disadvantages sometimes buddy. I already got mine up and running, out, and broken again. Gotta fix a few things and make some changes to my rear bumper and on top of it got another trip next month and even worse it’s gotta go thru emissions/inspection next month too so I can renew registration lol

    i have yet to see those disadvantages. i still work on my rig i mean i put new coil overs in it a few weeks ago and then put a cage in it last weekend and when i get it ill be putting a black box in it. but i could have never done a sas with a kid.

    So, I know this is the sas thread, but I see a few ifs guys lurking around here that actually wheel and crawl their rigs. So, I have a question.

    Anyone had issues with their a-trac not working? I noticed mine wasn't working on my last trip to Moab and I can't figure out why. I've checked and tested the switch and it's fine, even jumped it to eliminate a bad button as the problem. Can't seem to find a wiring diagram; so I don't really know where to go from here.

    Anyone have thoughts? Wiring diagram maybe?

    I know it's the perfect excuse to just throw a proper locker in, but funds are severely lacking for that kind of fix.

    Just put some lockers in that sum beech and the hell with your computerized A track.

    I'm already regeared to 4.56's but plan on jumping up to 37's on my next tires. So the next time I open diffs, I'm jumping up to 5.29's

    It’s not a big deal to add a locker in. No messing with the gear setup at all to do it.

    No offense but if you can’t spring $300 for a locker you probably can’t afford to be wheeling your truck...

    Paying off other debts right now. If I wheel and something breaks then priorities will change. Just trying to hopefully fix some electrical bugs for now.

    And I thought you did have to mess with gears when installing? But I could be wrong

    I'll look into them I guess. Just don't like the idea of it being always locked

    Not always locked. They ratchet when under ~2k rpm or when turning unless there is a lot of wheel spin. Very good manners offroad, not much stress and still allows you to steer. Install is super easy, no messing with gear settings. On mine I had to take the ring gear off to get in the carrier but not all diffs require that. That's as simple as retorquing the ring gear to spec though
