I would day go for it, it's fun putting one together, relatively easy, and you know how it works when you have to work on it.

only hesitation is the warranty would likely be invalid. I've helped with a couple mini-truck cases before, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Yeah I got the same story. Asked if they could just ship me the parts at discount of build cost and no dice. Still sitting and waiting. Was told 5 more weeks for something that was showing in stock mid Jan when I ordered...

Sounds like they need to call marlin back from retirement or get big Mike to stop making YouTube videos and pick up a wrench. Crazy they are structured around one guy to assemble cases. The transmissions I kind of get, but crawlboxes, come on!!!

Thanks to Trail Toys for getting this truss to me quickly. And grinding it all down so the tabs fit in the slots. I know how much of a pain in the ass that is, especially at this thickness haha

Saw that on pirate LOL!! Meh I chopped the front of my truck frame and IFS off without having a welder and my first major welding project was flipping a Toyota axle and building a front frame, I haven't killed a bus full of nuns yet. You will figure it out and be fine.

My main concern is I’ll do all this work and it will bind like fuck, I won’t be able to get it to work correctly, or I won’t be able to figure out all the clearance issues. I really hope I’m going about things the right way. I’ve gotten a lot “done” the last few days I hope I don’t have to cut it all off.

I need to bring up my upper link mount because it is binding with the driveshaft right now. Going to bring it up tonight. Then will cycle it more and see what else binds horribly.

Not too late to go leafs and not worry about any of that crap!

Do the pics still show for -matts- Tacoma build on pirate? He did pretty much the same thing you are doing. I copied some of what he did for the front frame on mine.

Meh just keep the brackets tacked in and cycle it, chances are you'll be fine. Just make sure the drag link and panhard are as close to the same length and angle as possible to minimize bump steer.

I’ll do that. Thank you. I’m having a fun time trying to package everything under there.

My upper link was hitting my motor mount so tonight I put some time into another new set of new mounts.

Some ugly welds, some decent ones. Not fully welded yet. But this is the idea. I’ll have about 3” more inches of clearance for the upper link now.
