Interior is in good shape. AC works... No rips. Pretty clean. Going to clean up the console a little from the twin sticks. No crawl box. It has 4.56 gears. Still crawls fine being automatic not manual.
Kinda curious cause I’m gonna post it this spring.

Not defending the guy and don't know him at all. Haven't seen his truck either, lol. Sometime its almost worth it to part it out instead of selling it complete.

It really depends on location and if people in your area are into this hobby. 99% of the guys I know want an actual bed so they can put junk in vs a tube.

I know a guy a few years back with a SUPER CLEAN, low mileage 4 door second gen SB built with 3 link KP kings 2.5 14" front and leaf kings triple bypass RJ rear, 4 speed atlas, pitbull 42s with trailready beadlock, supercharged, bla bla bla sold his crawler for almost $50k. I know he took a huge loss tho and probably regret selling it.

Agree with you about the bed. It was a kinda dinky flatbed when I got it and I wanted to learn how to use a bender. lol
I built it as a weekend driver/go give it hell on the trail truck. I want to go full hydro and link it, but I know I should just build a buggy that I don’t mind rolling in.
Hopefully someone sees some value in it and will offer around $15k... we will see what happens

$15k is a good starting price. Sit on it and if there's no potential buyer, you can always drop the price and go from there. Here in California, I see nice solid axle first gen on d44 or 1t market for ~15-20k (turn key crawler and still somewhat clean) and second gen with 1t axle typically go for the same price. First gen usually sells faster because of their smaller body. Most trail are tight and larger truck will have a tight squeeze to get through or have to do multiple point turn to get around a tree.

I’d think somewhere in the 13-14k range. 4 doors with a nice interior is big and a good build thread helps too. Not a great set of wheels and tires will hurt the sale price some but I think you’re in the ballpark

Just curious about reasoning to sell, if it's not too personal. Is the ride too rough for DD with leafs? I am looking to do similar project on my 18 and slowly building axle right now for swap, while I could do links, leaf simplicity is what attracts me to go this route.

Not too personal at all. It rides really nice actually.
I did leafs cause it was cheaper. Steering clearance while staying low is really hard on second gens. Leafs add another variable for clearance.
    Links would have been easier...
I’m at the point where I could link it and go beat on it hard or build a tube chassis that I can roll and not give a crap about. The body is too nice for my wheeling style. I’ve already got a goat built chassis I’m building and need $ to finish it.
If I had a buyer interested in paying me to link it, I would do it for them. Just a few brackets to cut off and a few more to weld on.

And the cheapest part is the tuned coilovers. Just about $2500 for 2 Fox Factory Race 2.5 14" coilover with DSC.... :annoyed:

Haha no worries. It will go soon enough hopefully. Have a 3 linked 4Runner in the driveway replacing it I need to put some $ into. Stole the beadlocks and stickies and slapped them on there.

honestly wasn’t looking to sell, but this one fell in my lap.
Dual cased w/ Marlin 4.7 5speed and Diamond front and only 150k miles. So yea it’s nicer haha.
