Why a ProRock axle? You can get a Super Duty axle and fit it with everything you could ever want for less than half the price.

I have, it's got nearly every upgrade you can get out of a D60. But at $8.5k, you can easily build both a SD60 + a 14b equally matched in upgrades if you are willing to do the labor yourself.

I already have a van width 14B, PR XD60 I think would have less chance of failures to a stock D60. Ive seen and broken many FZJ80 Birf,

Can you run 40 spline shafts & 1550 CTM joints in one or big bell RCV’s?
I do not see where any front axle other than a steering 14 bolt or a fabbed housing with a 10in center section should cost over $8,000

edit: forgot portals... but it’s a second gen Tacoma. Not a comp buggy.

A stock super duty 60 is beyond cheaper and is stronger than a second gen tacoma can actually break. I get the FZJ80 birf thing but there is no comparison between said birf and a 1550 joint.

I don't get how fzj80 birfs are somehow the gold standard for axle strength, like if one breaks those the next step up is rockwell's or some crazy custom axle LOL!!! Get a junkyard d60 and go to town!

Same here. Years ago when I was dumb and on the phone with diamond axle even they told “you do know an fzj80 birf is the same spline count as a mini truck? You’re not gaining strength cause it’s slightly bigger”

Hey guys I’m thinking about doing an sas. Will $2000 be enough to get it done and is it very difficult to do? I change my oil regularly and can do my brakes so I’m pretty handy. What kind of tools do you need to do an sas? I love the look of an sas. Is it like a couple weekend thing or does it take longer?

With nowadays technology, SA is all bolt on to existing IFS components.... :D

I didn't even know how to change oil, plugs, or brake when I did mine...
