How far forward did you end up moving your front mount?

Got the springs on for the most part. I am still on the fence about the front mount 7.5" forward with the 4 door. Center of spring is very close to cab. Center is like 22" at droop without the axle weight obviously. Hopefully it works or im gonna be cutting and grinding a lot.

Eh probably 6.5", been a while. I kept the rear mount in the same location. I was aiming to keep the axle in the same location as factory.

What wheel travel numbers are you second gen SAS guys pulling up front? I’m LT and currently doing a 4 link rear. Pulling 13” out of the front right now. Just seeing what’s what. Not too interesting in starting down another rabbit hole just yet… haha

Finally got some things tacked in. Cycling up I need to figure something out with my traction bar. Everything has decent clearance but the traction bar only allows for a little over ~3” up before coming in contact with the pumpkin.

Does anyone have any suggestions on pressing a 14 bolt yoke and pinion out? I have a 20 ton press and it won’t get it out. Soaked it in freeze off over night. Gave up on that and left the shop before I tried heating it. Any suggestions?

I am pressing it just like this. I didn’t take pic so found one on you tube.

I was overly excited and didn’t take many pictures. I can get one later today, but this is closest I have.

it doesn’t look like the driver side is low at all though. Looks like lower than it will be w the coils on. If you drop the driver down all the way down and raise the pass does it hit?

You are going to get numbers all over the map on this one since everything is custom.

What are your trying to do with the truck? Take it off sweet jumps? Rock crawl? Etc....

if I drop driver side down and passenger up it’ll come in contact with the bottom of the engine. I do plan on moving the engine up 1.75-2 inches so it should be fine. The main issue is full bump and driver side up/passenger down the trac bar hits the pumpkin. Picture below is frame at 24” and center of axle at ~17”.

Have you seen the spoonman build on page 545 I think? He has an sd axle too. Notched frame but he raised motor as well. Gear and trac mount way far forward

Move the steering box forward and move the frame side trac bar mount forward then rotate the axle end forward. That should clear the diff.
