I’ve never had an air locker so I’m kind of excited about that but still don’t like 1 little copper line in control of my locker. Where I live tree branches get all kinds of stuck in your truck to the point you have to carry a saw zall always to get them out.

But, I hope I become the quick draw cat w a positive response!

Don't drop your air line down from your engine bay for the front axle. Run your axle breather line, air line, and brake line with your upper link.

Not home to snap some pictures but this is the concept.

Weld the tabs on the upper link and run the all the lines (brake, breather, air) and zip tied them to the tab. This gives a much cleaner look vs having them all run up towards the engine like those on leaf spring.

Ooh. That is nice! You got all the fancy shit! Those sleeves are sweet! Yeah that is smart. No stretch at all! I have been worried about that in the rear. Wonder if they have dual tabs. Run the air line w braided.

I’m gonna use 3” gas pipe for a 3-4’ tanks on each side or rear frame rail w 2 viairs. I can’t stand airing tires up.

I've had it for 6 six years and I like it a lot. Never notice when the locker locks/unlocks at all. I would definitely recommend it.

If you want SS air line:
    https://www.crownperformance.com/stainless-steel-airline-kit-for-arb-air-locker/

TBH, it's a waste of money to run SS air line but they do look awesome! I'm running reinforced high pressure rubber line (I hate the nylon line provided by TJM - did the same when I had my ARB when I was IFS). It's way cheaper vs SS.

I use to be a firm believer of OBA until I rupture my tank on my 83 when it took a turn for the worst on a slippery rock. This render it useless, lol. My front and rear locker wouldn't engage because they were tied to the OBA as well. With this current built, I hate having things I don't need very often on it since it's also a DD. I switched to a power tank many years ago and had not look back since. Yes, in the long run, it will cost more filling the co2 vs having a portable or OBA. But there's no comparison when airing up a 40" tire that got deflated to 2psi to 35psi. You'll get done airing all 4 - 40" while your buddy is barely on his second tire with 37 using OBA. The way I set up my tank location, my line reach all 4 tires. I see other people who don't put that into consideration and have to carry their tank around to air up. And if my power tank empty while on the trail, my arb high output compressor has a coupler as well that I can use for emergency. I just like the fact that I can remove stuff while on town.

Learned what work best for my needs after 18+ years of playing :D. That's why this will be my last and best built. The rest are history and learning/living experience.

I actually bought a pre-fab mount for my 20lb tank and 10lb fire extinguisher. This way, it has less chance of moving around and rattling.

But it's not practical for everyone.

Yea I've seen that haha. Some people get really defensive when anybody says anything remotely negative about those lockers.

I exert my energy in the shop. I prefer to enjoy my time in the woods w as little physical effort as possible! Kneeling in the rocks airing 1 tire up for 5 min is stupid. I can mount 2 removable co2 tank holders in like 30 min.

    same theory applies to lockers

ARB makes good products. I don't care about what other people run either. Don't like to waste time in endless brand loyalty arguments.

When I say DD, I really mean DD. We built them for every day enjoyment. Our rigs are not trailer queen. They're driven to and from the trails and around town. They're grocery getter and family hualer. Yes, we have other vehicles to commute as well, if that's what you're thinking.

Here's my buddy 3rd gen 4R on 40s towing his boat to the lake.

    GET SUM!
