I’d ask how well the cage was built but judging from the body it seems to be working fine haha

We bent that thing up in a weekend and it’s been holding up great. Welded to the sliders which are welded to the uniframe.

haha I saw their ad on Instagram and that's what reminded me that I had meant to order the Busted Knuckle kit for a larger tear. That kit does look really handy to have, I should probably grab one for the trail kit anyways.

    Have you got it yet?

Yea I got it. Have it in the back of the truck. Haven't used it though and hope not to ideally. Makes me wonder about the shelf life though and if there is one

Anyone replace a Motor mount -just the insulator not the mount after SAS? Trying to find an easy way. Only room seems to be jacking from the bellhousing (will the cast aluminum bellhousing hold?) to support the motor. I'm thinking it can if I do one side at a time, in theory only seeing half the weight as the other motor mount will still be supporting the motor weight.

What says you? Engine hoist would be ideal to support weight...if I had one, or maybe at least an engine support brace.

Could you maybe get a bottle back in between the front housing and the oil pan and lift it up that way maybe? An engine hoist is another good idea. I did mine one at a time.
When I did mine, I used a floor jack to move up the motor to give me enough room to remove the isolator. Although doable because IFS.

When I raised my motor, although probably not smart or the right way, I lifted from the oil pan and had ir sitting on the oil pan for a few days while I made the frame and mounts. I just used a block of wood to spread the load and jacked super slowly to make sure it wasn’t crushing the pan

I jacked mine up from the bell housing, no issues, I trust the bell housing more than the oil pan. I put pressure on it and it started making weird noises and I backed off.

My entire drivetrain sat on the bell housing for a few months when I did my SAS for reference.

I did the motor mounts a few months back, you barely need to jack the motor up, only a few inches. The hardest part is getting the motor mount back in. Should be a lot easier for you as I narrowed my frame up front and I have that big ass forward swing box which made it kind of a PITA.

Depending on how dry FB/CL is you could also grab a used engine hoist for $50-100 and sell it for the same when you're done with it

I think I paid $75 for the folding HF one and it's been handy for all kinds of random chit lol
