Nice. I have the truck sitting at 23” right now, but with 42’s I think I’ll have to go to around 24-26” so I’m not dragging over everything. I’ve debated raising the engine an inch, but it may not provide much more uptravel since the frame is right there anyways. Upper links axle side should tuck up inside the frame rails the way I have it, but it’s moot until I get ready to cycle everything.

Seal the floor up and it will stay cool. People who have heat issues with a crawl box did a shitty job sealing the floor like myself.

I’ve drained more glitter than a Kesha concert out of the oil pan twice on my 3RZ when it was running perfectly fine with no odd noises or low oil pressure. A pinch of glitter here and there from duals doesn’t bother me lol

I see your points on the axle width issue. I personally prefer wider axles than the other way around in most circumstances. Plus it makes it a bit easer to fabricate things with wider axles.

And true about the weight/bulk of the D60/14b combo. Axles and tires added way over a thousand pounds of weight to my reg cab...unloaded. Add tools, spare tire, spare parts and a passenger and it is a very heavy and slow truck.

Dang, prices and lead times have definitely gone up quite a bit. I bought my 2-speed Atlas with 5.0 gears way pre-covid years...around 2016 I believe. Have to look at my invoices to double-check, but I think mine was $2,800 total...including the adapter (plus another $150 for shipping). It took less than a month to arrive as well. But I do remember that even then the difference between the 2-speed and 4-speed was close to $1,500. So that part hasn't changed seems like.

Mains largely. First block/crank was trashed by the time I caught it. Second time I caught it early and rolled new bearings in it. Balance shaft oiling is garbage on the 3RZ on angles so cutting the balance shaft chain is mandatory to me now

Yeah a 4 speed case costing $5k+ with a 6mo lead time isn't super appealing. Makes a 203/205 or blackbox/205 doubler look quite a bit more appealing though

    Absolutely lol!

That's a huge commitment with both time and money. Hope AA don't get Marlin's level with their lead times:eek:

I could see the first time making plenty of glitter in the oil, but that second set doesn't look terrible as far as toasted main bearings go.
