There is scientific data out there about 2.5 vs 2.0 vs 3.0 etc. Most of it has nothing to do with what all the internet dick swinging has to offer with greater oil capacity, cooling etc. It has much more to do with valve size orifice sizes, shaft size (that's a fun one), and ability to control the spring and size of vehicle.

I've seen most of ya'll wheel and it's not even close to a dick swinging argument but an argument of necessity vs reality. So there is some real world observational data there.

I guess we need to define wheeling hard. If it's flooring it, breaking and rolling and not completing the obstacle, vs picking lines and driving up it to complete it without breaking and rolling. One person is defining it one way, the other people is defining it another.

Forget the how hard you can wheel. The easiest way to define it is because I can afford it. Sound better? Lol.

There's an argument to everything if you really think about it.
    -link vs leaf
    -37 vs 40
-solid axle swap without crawlbox, why?
-solid axle swap without lockers, why?
-solid axle swap with homemade square tube front shaft, why?
-solid axle swap on 33, why?
    -toyota vs jeep
    -rubicon vs trd pro
And the list go on and on.

As @ovrlndkull mention, there's a significant difference between 2.0 and 2.5, size do matter . Why settle with good enough if you can afford the better components. :D

That thing crawls and doesn't break just runs out of fuel. Plus having power under the hood to get up stuff that just picking a line and crawling doesn't work. One way isn't better than the other but the ability to not be stuck in one mindset or ability is better. When you stick to stuff that doesn't push your rig or your abilities wayyy above what it's capable of then of course you'll never break or roll. That's easy wheeling.

I was catching up with the air bump posts. Good tech info and discussion on the first part of the conversation.

Then things derailed somehow and went to swinging dicks.

That tape measure might be too long

Who gives AF if they're running 2.5 and not 2.0. Who gives AF if they're running poly bump stop and not air.

You fucking morons. I understand that there’s a difference in 2.0 vs. 2.5, resi vs. non-resi, etc… I’m not new to shocks and coilovers at all. What i mean with the comment about scientific data is that neither of us are presenting any sort of data as to which coilover would be better for his application and at what point the returns begin diminishing.

However, there’s also a thing as too much shock. And the standard for everyone seems to be “go as big as you can” which is not always better.

My overall point was that for the low speed crawling bullshit that he’s doing with very little uptravel, he’d have been better served with 2.0’s vs. 2.5’s and using the money for air bumps rather than sticking shit bumps on it because he’ll be in the bumps all of the time.

Getting a little ruffled :rofl:no but that data is easily found. Like Clay said it's his build and how much he wants to invest and where is his choice soooooo......

You and you're little group of crawl bois are so full of assumptions and better than thou attitudes on top of pulling out the dick measuring comments to look in the mirror.

All of you need a hard dose of of humble pie.
